Funny thing is that during the concert the day after, she said she looked much happier than she really was. 😂She said she appreciate it, but that awards don't really mean much to her. And the sweetest thing she said was if she could decide, she would give an award to every single person in the crowd instead.
I think the only prize she was happy about was the Grammy, because she received a 100 000 kroner stipendium.She split the money between a faithful fan who has been at almost all her concerts, and Rosendal castle where she recorded the last album.

Here are Aurora's thoughts about the award as she explained the next day at the Sunday Nov 27th concert:
"Yesterday at this time then P3 came on stage and gave me an award. And it is really great and all that, but I really thought like: "Oh are they coming here now and interrupting the concert!"
Also, I think awards are very like... I never know how to deal with it. I want to be nice, grateful of course. At the same time, I care very little about that world, or that part of our world... that's very strange. Or... Yes, everyone has to grow... To find out what I think about it... but for now I think it's just weird.
I "joked it away" quite a bit, when I like... reacted like heavy metal guys. (flexing) Yes, yes! Is it funny, because all the pictures on the internet from the award yesterday, it looks like I'm really happy. I'm like yes... I'm just kidding with the audience. It's funny. I care... I care very little. Or like they say: It's bulls...
But yes, but I'm very happy too. That award is very heavy, but yes. Had I been... boss for all the awards, then all of you would have received an award. But... But everyone should have an award."

lol....I love that. What an Aurora answer.
She's proven over and over that her values are super important to her and are deeply rooted. She clearly cares 100% about art and creativity....and in the community of people who love what she creates.
Anything beyond that, especially awards, can be nice or a bit fun....but ultimately it's rather silly and arbitrary and just a chance for society to pat itself on the back for "recognizing" the brilliant talent of some artist.
When it comes to her music.....I think Aurora only cares what us fans think about it. And even more than that....I think she primarily cares what SHE thinks about her own music. She's simply trying to excite and enrich and captivate and inspire _herself_ first....and anyone else who feels the same, is welcome to join the party. :D

She has changed my life as well. In a time where we all need positive things in our lives - and here she is!! I also met her in March for the first time. Well, maybe it was May. I've slept since then - I'm not sure... I do know for sure the month started with an M.

I love how whenever she's presented an award(which has happened a lot) she goes into one of two modes.
She is either utterly unphased and ambivalent, like, "um....ok. thanks i guess? erhm....yeah. anyway...."
OR.....she does karate kicks and poses like a WWE wrestler getting ready to demolish their opponent. I love how extreme she is lol....she's both one of the most introverted humans I've ever come across, and ALSO one of the most outgoing least shy people ever.

@@Aurora_videos oh I know lol... I can already guess what her real feelings were without even clicking that link. I assume she was playing it up for the audience here cuz she was kinda on the spot and was just having fun with it. As for what she _actually_ thinks of awards....she clearly thinks they're a bit silly and meaningless and just a way for media companies to put on a show. Obviously Aurora is interested entirely in creativity itself and in making art for people who love her art....and even more primarily, making art for _herself._
And I love that attitude. I'm not remotely worried Aurora will one day "sell out" and do anything purely for money or fame or followers or anything shallow. She's proven over and over that her values are important to her....and have deep roots.
