I heard from a friend of mine that goes to the the 2 lego stores in Georgia, USA that both store managers told him that the prices for the pab boxes would go up around February 1st not if earlier
Everybody I’ve seen doing reviews focusses on the concept you get slightly more Lego in the boxes, but nobody mentions we’ve gone from a qualitative useful cup worth at least a couple of dollars/euros, to a disposable carton box. I liked the cups, even though it meant getting slightly less Lego in there.
❤YES! I use my lovely cups for sorting (I can see through the sides!) And I keep them forever. They are solid, waterproof and durable and look great. The boxes are ugly, flimsy trash that will fall apart if they get even slightly damp. Lego is Danish. That's Denmark! A rainy place! How can they think this is an ok change?
I think if you lay your bricks like you did but from left to right (or right to left lol) you might be able to get in a few more plates or something as you waste less space in between spossed studs by making them face the smalledt area of the box.
I didn’t think about it a few months ago when I went to the Lego store, I took my cups. They told me I can’t use them anymore ..oops. I spent about an hour there filling the box. Also, one thing to know it did go up two dollars a box. It’s ok though,I’m more reliable than pick a brick online, I never short myself.😉
Just bought my first pick a brick box, and I was I told by an employee, as long as the flaps close, they don’t care how you fill it. I did feel bad, as it’s a Friday night, and I was in everyone’s way 😅 Another note, after your second layer of stacked bricks, I noticed I was able to add one brick to each row.
HI TO ALL in the uk the price of the box is now £16.99 this will put alot of i can tell there's one fan in the uk has post the new cost with a pic what is the max you and the lego fans would pay for pab parts
The boxes are only good for angular and square bricks and plates. They don't work as well for curved, round and specialized elements like windshields, wheels, flowers and small tiles. This move does not help the environment. Nobody EVER threw away PAB cups and buckets. We all keep ours and use them for sorting .Where did Lego put the remaining inventory? Huh?? This is an ugly, customer-betraying step backward.
I use the boxes and spend time stacking masonry bricks stacked half a box got way over 200 might be over 300 and a tone of other partsv
that’s awesome! yeah, if you want to take the time and maximize your space it’s worth it!!

Good job❤👍
Your store didn't have the official sticker to close the box?
They didn’t! Technically the boxes weren’t even supposed to be out yet but they ran out of large cups!
Thank you, this was very helpfull

Ooo great to know!! Thanks!
Boxes Are Superior To Cups, However With The New Re-Design You Showed It Probably Wont Make A Difference Since There’s No Table To Stack Pieces
LOL THATS FACTS!

I always loved the cups.. I dont care for the boxes at all.
Boxes are definitely better than cups
i agree! i’m looking forward to this change (although i’ll miss the cups for storage and sentimental purposes!)
