Thank you, friend! I still hoard all of her discarded drawings. She will thank me one day but for now, I enjoy them so much. I read your comment to her and she said to thank you. Perhaps I can get her to offer up some illustrations for me to share…stay tuned. Thank you for being here.
Love, love, love your take on the prompts. I am with you on the vintage journals. Also, love all the sewing. I just got a machine as a gift so I need to learn how to get it going. My absolute favorites were the shaker and the woven "mat". Thank you for sharing.
So glad you liked it, friend! Honestly, if only ever use my machine to sew paper and only straight lines 😂😂. If I can do it, trust me you need to fire yours up STAT 😂. That particular shaker was super easy too- I just used a self sealing bag and a project life card 😉 Thx for watching!
Love how it turned out. You have so many wonderful pages. I love the colors on the last one and the weaving technique. I was thinking of doing some sort of "patchwork" on one of my pages. I watched all of Meg's videos (and others) for two weeks before I decided to give it a shot. I've never participated in any challenges and just seeing what everyone was doing really inspired me. I'm currently stuck on the Neutral prompt. lol For this year I decided to try, and/or participate in new creative endeavors so I'm giving it my all in staying the course and seeing this challenge through. Thank you for sharing yours. I really enjoyed seeing everything you did.
I’m so glad you liked it and that you decided to do the challenge! Neutral was definitely a challenge for me as well. In hindsight, I may have chosen a range of neutral colors or maybe paper bag and vellum…? The good thing is there are truly no mistakes so long as we enjoy ourselves. Tag me on IG if you post there- I’d love to see. Keep going- you got this! Thx for watching, friend!
@@SleeplessPage I finally got through the neutral page! Yesterday I sat with it and finally came up with something. I went basic and predictable. LOL I initially thought to make a page with a "neutral" color but couldn't decide on which color to go with, so I just stuck with browns, tans and cream. It isn't the most creative, but I had to move on and didn't want to have to come back to it. In the end though, I think it turned out simple and cute. I'll have to posts pics on IG and give you that tag and see what you think. 😊
@lataina923 awesome! That was my experience too- don’t stay in the thinking phase too long and just do something. I’m glad it worked out. Can’t wait to see it!
It looove your journal and I also love sewing. I've been trying to figure out which kind of machine does well with paper. Just a faithful, inexpensive crafty type. I also heard you should just use one for paper projects alone and use a different machine for fabric? what kind do you use for your journaling? It looks like it does really nice paper stitching. Thanks for sharing the fun projects!!
Could you do a tutorial for this junk journal made from a bag ? I love your journal, I would love to make one. Love your daughter’s picture “Millie” that she drew. Looks like you have an artist in the family, she is very talented. TFS
Absolutely, friend- Thank you for asking! I hope to be able to upload a tutorial soon- I’m currently creating journals to sell at a winter market so it’s very likely I can film this soon-ish. My daughter says “Thank you” for complimenting her drawing. I compliment her all the time but she says I’m biased- smh. Thank you for being here, friend & stay tuned!
Thank you so much, friend!! Apologies for the delayed reply! Just sub'd to your channel- you have lots of gorgeousness happening over there too- excited to watch!
Just found you! Two things: Thing One: I love your colorful junk journal style as an alternative to the vintage look, which everyone seems to do. Except me. Well, me and you. Thing Two: I want to be you when I grow up. (Although we might be twins separated at birth... our senses of humor are in tune.) Keep doing what you're doing. 😘
Hilarious! I’m happy you get my humor, I personally crack myself up 😂😂😂. Aren’t colorful journals so fun?! It’s a feast for the eyes. The vintage styles are lovely but they wouldn’t me me if I adopted them. I’m glad you’re here- thanks so much for watching, friend!
This has given me loads of ideas and I love your style 😊
Ahh Minnesota. I am a Minnesotan as well. I just found you, good job
Absolutely LOVE this!!!
Thank you so much, friend! I'm so glad. Thank you for watching!
I love your JJJ journal so much. I cant really choose a favourite page because there are so many fabulous ones. Thanks for sharing.
I ❤ your daughter's painting of Millie ❤❤❤❤
[apologies for the delayed reply] I relayed the message and we thanks you, friend! 🫶🏽
That drawing your daughter drew is something I would use in my art journal. It's fabulous! 😍 so good!

@SleeplessPage I'd love that! I'd happily send her some of mine of she likes my style. 😊

Well, now you’ve made my day!
There will be Junk Journal July, too! 🤗
Yes! Do you participate? In theory I’d love to but July is a crazy busy month in our family so realistically, I may have to stick to January…🫠
@@SleeplessPage We'll see - if I do, I'll post some of my pages on IG! (This January I didn't have the energy, I was in survival mode.)
@h4r4s4r4 relatable! I hope to see them if you get around to it. What’s most important is that you create, whether you share or not.
