Good work done! And on the next video, installation of the dislocation cones #sponsored by ratel-x 😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
    Good amount of flex 👍🏻

Haha thanks mate, not ordered them yet but there’s plenty of other parts to fit in the meantime

@@TheNorthernExplorer I've just fitted a 2" lift to my D2, passenger side was a pain in the bum to do, yet drivers side knocked out in 20 mins, the joys of land rover ownership 😂😂😂

Great video Dan! But longer shocks is a better solution, even in terms of leverage on the chassis, it's always adding forces in directions were they weren't before! But if you wanna keep the shocks it's a solution! Has I'm really a tourer and not much into hardcore offroading, flex was never an issue for me, soo instead of dislocating cones I've put steel ties to the top of the spring, on maximum articulation so it can never not go into place, a simpler solution!

Yeah I agree longer shocks is the better option, I’m kind of going for the tourer but with a bit better capability. I probably won’t go any higher and the extra flex will definitely help

I as well have +50mm TF shocks and added 2 Hose clamps to the top of the rear springs. Figured I'd see how long they last before I order cones.. True some loss of travel, but better than smashing a spring back in on a trail!

You need to check FULL SQUAT now and make sure you don't break the shock or mount on squatting

I forgot to mention that I do have extended bump stops and I may be swapping these out for +2 inch shocks in the near future

@@TheNorthernExplorer I got the 2" med lift with +50mm shocks.. I have NOT changed to longer bump stops yet as I "think" the spring bottoms out before shock.. I also need to check full squat why I brought it up! Someone in AZ USA doing the same stuff as you!

Thanks David, I Agree longer shocks are an option but this is a cheaper option. I will be looking at longer shocks for the future though (you may see why in another video)

You'll get the flex bug soon and swap to +5 😂
Have you a link to that bolt on recovery point in your rear bumper?

Haha I couldn’t afford to! The shackle on my bumper was on it when I bought it but ratel x do a variety of them.
