According to Halopedia: Breaking Quarantine is a story in the Halo Graphic Novel that depicts Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson's escape from the Flood Containment Facility on Installation 04. It is illustrated by Tsutomu Nihei and is fourteen pages long.

If Microsoft took this idea, upscaled it with a two million dollar budget; I'd buy for $60.
Let's cut Microsoft out of the deal here and just straight up give this guy that million to work on this. Keep corporate nonsense out of passionate art, which this technically is.
They’d somehow make this rated T and have The Weapon make quirky jokes all the way through.
@@trashjash Microsoft owns the ip, giving the guy money to work on the game would invite Microsoft to send a cease and disist in the best case scenario. In the worst case they would sue the dev for illegal use of their IP.

@@getfreur2458 Which just goes to show how badly the whole IP system needs an overhaul for the modern age. It's all about protecting shareholder profits at the expense of absolutely everything else. The point of it was to protect small businesses with new ideas, not to stifle creativity and enforce perpetual stagnation of innovation so that a monopolistic giant can continue cranking out a single franchise forever.
It feels very claustrophobic fighting the flood, it works well.

I’m 22 so forgive me but I’ve never heard of this. This sounds sick!
I remember a mod for Custom Edition that had fixed cameras and replaced the flashlight with a laser, like Re4. It was only on one map, Longest, but it was kinda neat, other than that Combat Forms are _not_ balanced for that gameplay and would mob you pretty quickly.

If you told me this was made in the same engine as the original resident evil and Dino crisis I would believe you, you’ve replicated the look and feel of those games incredibly from the looks of it!
Part of me wants to believe it actually is a mod based on the old RE engine.

HP bar should look like the one in the original Halo CE, but otherwise, really neat.
The healthbar from CE is implied to be part of the Mjolnir HUD, so seeing that outside of Chief's helmet would be weird. I get what you're saying, there's a whole lot more RE than CE here, but the RE style healthbar kind of works for the UNSC marines. I'd say keep it with the heartrate monitor but make it bright blue to match the LED readouts on the weapons for visual consistency with yellow and red being lower health that would match the color scheme of Mjolnir's HUD.

We should get a sequel like this that would be about surviving/escaping the Halo 3 campaign “Floodgate” as a marine or Johnson again just for fun.

Holy crap, that was amazing! I always had the idea of a Resident Evil-style Halo game, and this proves it can absolutely be done.
My idea would be an original story where a UNSC ship answers a distress call that appears to come from a Covenant CCS-class battlecruiser that is adrift in space. Seizing the opportunity to get their hands on some Covenant tech, a squad is sent in to secure the ship, after which, the player character, an engineer who is an expert in Covenant tech, is let on to start going through it. The first three quarters of the game would see you navigating through the Covenant ship in traditional RE puzzle box style, trying to escape as you survive with little supplies against the Flood. The final section would take you back to the UNSC ship, where the Flood inspection has spread, and you'd first have to get to the bridge to man the weapons console and destroy the Covenant ship before getting to engineering and manually overloading the engines to destroy the UNSC ship. The game would be like any RE game, with a supporting cast of both human and Covenant survivors, some friendly and some hostile (regardless of which side they're on).
I really hope you develop this sort of idea further, the RE-style Halo survival horror, that is. Or my own, I wouldn't mind. But man, I hope 343i is looking at fan projects like this and taking notes.
In my head, my Resident Evil-style Halo game set aboard the Mona Lisa (look it up!). also while talking about Halo lore, i love how the Flood Infection forms could not infect Avery Johnson due to his "Boren's Syndrome". nice! not sure if that was the idea? lol

What you could do with the infection forms is take a page from the G embryos that crawl out of that one boss fight in the A scenarion in RE2 and have them melt if you can’t have them pop.

The AI Voice is lacking Character, Sincerity, Feeling, and Authenticity. Pretty much just a Robot Voice.
But this is Awesome. Could you imagine just being a Random Marine at the Start of this before the Flood attacked Captain Key's Squad in the Containment Chamber?
What's with all the Random Capitalisation? The Big Letters only belong at the Beginning of the Sentence!
Also, it's captain Keyes, so "Keyes' Squad" :)
@@chavzone the Random Capitalization is used to Emphasize a a Point or Draw Attention to said Point.
And I realize I did make an Error when saying Keyes. My bad. Lol

Is there a melee attack? if not you should add. Also if u need help with english translation or anything let me know. I speak spanish and french, I'd love to see this succeed and i can lend a hand.
Melee Attacking the Flood is usually not a good idea.
Unless you have Spartan Armor or an Energy Sword that is...
The least melee a marine needs is a shove action. Melee wouldn't do much for a typical marine unless you're a spartan like MC.

Its beautiful i just saw an animation of this like 5 days ago
first game = first person shooter action game following protagonist supersoldier
second game = top down horror survival as you play as a basic marine instead of a supersoldier
third game = real time strategy playing as a commander trying to control a sector
fourth game = 4x game playing as the faction leader
halo has almost every part of this, the only thing we need is a 4x Halo game and an official release from your game and we'll be set
