OK, no one should be in an RV park asking people if they need any odd jobs done. This is panhandling. And no, do not go to the office, pick up your cell phone and call them. Leaving your RV unattended might not be the best thing to do. If I'm feeling really iffy about someone in the park I might even chose to pull out and go somewhere else.
Hmmmm the only thing that would irk me a little was the repeated asking. Once is fine but more is awkward. Otherwise it’s a young kid asking for jobs to make a buck….i try to help kids when I see that. Id actually encourage the kid to reach out to the campground staff and see if they have some work he could do. I’d also warn the kid as u pointed out it may not be safe to knock on strangers doors.
I would only have been worried about the safety of the child. I would immediately call the office and ask if they are familiar with the child, he might be a local. I do appreciate his entrepreneurial spirit. I’m sorry he interrupted your husband’s work. I’m sure he meant no harm.
Here's a different take on this story. Perhaps the kid was "casing" the RV to see if someone is home. No one home, kid's older brother breaks into the RV and robs the place. Sorry to be so sinister, but there is no way a kid should be soliciting odd jobs at an RV park.
I would gently educate the kid of the dangers of knocking on strangers doors ...that it isn't safe.
Yeah, it made me worry about him

Thanks for the comment. To be fair, my husband would have still been in the RV but fair point about leaving it unattended.

Thank you. Yes, the repeated part was what really gave us pause.

I would’ve done the same as you. If he came back again, I’d report him.
Thank you! Appreciate that

Interesting! If that were the case, I do wonder why he'd stop by twice within an hour or two.
