The Quick Move and Quick Cast features were great additions to the game. I wish Blizzard would enable the Quick Move for the trade window! I also like the fact that you can pull up your stats and click on the little arrow on the right side to show your increased attack speed, faster cast rate, magic find, etc. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to know how much magic find I had on. I'd have to hover over each piece of my gear and add it up manually. Don't forget to turn off the Camera Shake. So annoying when you go to kill Diablo or Duriel and the whole screen shakes when you kill them. If you are in a public game, that makes it almost impossible to pick up items that drop if you are trying to grab something before someone else does.
I believe that the quick-move feature on the trade window was disabled to prevent scammers from instantly closing the trade window (which could result in you dropping your trade item onto the ground).

First thing I can say is that the 1st thing has been in the game since vanilla Diablo 2. 3rd tip you gave has been in the game since vanilla Diablo 2, way back in the day. As for number 4 tip. you can place your scrolls of identify into your belt as well. Number 7, I didn't know you can hot key the cube. Ctrl + Left Shift to quick shift your gear from one place to another has also been in the game since vanilla D2 back in the day. Being able to Left Shift + Left Click to link to chat has been in the game since the beginning as well. You literally only got me with one thing, lmao. I love your content bro, keep it up.
04:48 honestly, I don't see the point of having an identification tomb either. As soon as I have Cain I get rid of mine. Sure, it's a bit of a hassle having to tp back to town to identify but scrolls drop everywhere. Don't see the point of having that specific tomb there wasting space. If anything, I think having the tomb of tp way more useful to have in your inventory cuz then you can hotkey it and free a space on your belt. I have mine hotkey'd to my mouse. I have a Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse, and I literally have EVERYTHING and all my skills hotkeyd there. I can play with just my mouse. Edit: having quick cast on everything I mentioned about the mouse GREATLY enhances the experience. Also, I went into the settings and changed the scroll wheel on the mouse so it doesn't switch through skills cuz I found that on some rare occasions I'd accidentally switch skills mid fight. I did that also cuz having all my skills hotkeyd I no longer have to "switch" skills.
It's a shame they didn't add the CTRL-click feature to trading yet, it would make it a lot quicker. Especially if you're trading like 40 Pgems or something.
I agree, but I think this is due to the high risk that during this the other trader might close the trading window which leaves you spaming your items to the ground where they then get stolen.
@@greggen63 Why you dont drop the gems on the floor ? I did it countless of time, sometimes even 500-600 pgems at once, and i never encountered a scammer :)
You can do the first thing also when stash is opened. Just klick where the Merc Symbol normally appears on the screen and the armor or whatever will swap
TPs on a hotkey is nice but there's a catch, it becomes a spell so low FCR means it gets interrupted very easily if you're in a tough spot. TP in belt is the best for speed and safety but the charges and potions are limited so a bit of a tradeoff again.
1:55 THANK YOU FOR THIS. 3:15 Fists of Heaven too. Any other skill in the game that is hard to single-target too. Still more clunky than if it was possible to put on the right click, and aura on left. 5:40 This is absolutely useless if you cannot use it on items on the ground. Even if it was possible to identify items on the ground, the use of this is very, very poor. 7:25 This has been in Diablo 2 since it was created. Same goes for Shift+Click on potions to send them to your belt and vice versa.
8:40 I was once gambling boots and exchange them like this by accident, sold my old boots and just realized that when I was running not as fast as before. Haha
If you have spells / skills mapped to the F keys (F1, F2, etc.), scrolling your mouse wheel up and down will scroll through them. I find that useful for casting pre-buffs or summoning multiple types of minions.
Never worked for me personally. I always bump the wheel without noticing and end up casting the wrong spells. Not good in Hell mode. I find putting thw hotkeys to something comfortable and assigning skills in a way that makes sense for gameplay (like how often it is used) and just remembering the key is better. Example 1234 is potions and qwert is first row of hotkeys. Or qwer is potions and asdfg is first row of hotkeys. The first option only changes the hotkeys from F1-F12 to whatever you want. The second option changes everything but lets your hand rest on the home keys (asdf) which makes navigating the keyboard easier.
I play woth a ps5 controller on pc. You can grab stuff directly into the cube with a button. And you can sell equiped gear directly with a button on the controller (grinding items for infinite gold) without having to go through classic graphics
Wish we could quick move items to the trade panel. Especially when trading 40 pgems or Jewels and the other person closes the window by mistake mid-trade.
6:20 the hotkey for scrolls only works with keyboard and mouse. Using a controller that option is missing. Oh how sweet it would to just hit a button and have it auto id into the cube
Now i just need a tip for hotkey management, the default control scheme is so bad but nothing i set up feels comfortable enough to fully relax and play without watching the keyboard. I want to have my hotkeys organized by location on the keyboard for similar hotkeys (like opening the cube and opening my inventory for example. 2 hotkeys ill be pressing usually in the span of a few seconds of eachother but like for all my keybinds so that when i need to do something my hand isnt flying back and forth to press 4 different keys at each corner of my keyboard bc thats abt how the defaults feel to me, i did something similar with path of exile and keeping my hotkeys organized like that took my gameplay efficiency thru the roof, went from spending 30-60 seconds in between mapping to dump loot down to under 10 usually. I hope that i can get a similar feel to that system but for some reason d2r has some weird keybinds for things that dont need to be a keybind yet they are (im looking at you inventory and character screens with your double fuckin hotkey shenanagains even tho only 1 key is assigned to them each)
I just made a comment in another thread but I'll give you something to get you started. Make ASDFG your first row of hotkeys. Make QWER your potion slots. Your fingers will rest on ASDF (the home keys). The "stand still" key is really important for ranged characters and mages, so I suggest binding that to the space bar. I use ALT for "show items" but you can use Shift as well. I also make sure T is a hotkey and use it for the Town Portal scrolls. That should get you started. After that it's just trial and error until you find what works. Make sure in options you enable Custom as default key bindings. Then under controls, once you change your hotkeys pick save as default. Then for every character simply hit default under controls, select custom in the dialog, and your custom hotkeys will be applied automatically. Edit: also, if you don't use some controls, like force move or Help Screen, leave them blank.

the first point about mercenary gear = you can just click top left corner without closing the stash and it works xD. On pc you can also use a controller andthe game just switches to console version. I am not kidding. Pluggin your controller and it'll do just that. This is limited to 1 console's controller or through steam's controller recognition (gotta launch the game through steam in "old/legacy/classic games so it finds the matching software to toggle the right keys when using the controller). I set it up 2 years ago and it works like a charm = Using the switch pro controller.. I think the one without the steam crap is xbox controller). That way, you can send items directly to your cube from the ground on your pc :D
My biggest UI revelation was when I picked up my controller from a previous game D2 instantly switches the complete interface to be controller friendly. Never saw any other game do that
Excellent video man. The respec is nice, d2 has massive respec problem. You need 5 essences to do it to make a Token, but for barb for ex, you have 8 different weapons masteries so you can't change weapons as you will and it's a massive pain, they should merge all the weapons masteries into one, and make the respec easier, any boss should be able to drop a token.
@@teal_2v338having to trade with other players and buy things from them to efficiently access the respec mechanic is abt as physically and spiritually far from "perfect" as you can get. Countless other games got respeccing right but im sorry d2r isnt one of them, in fact d2r is up there with path of exile for respec systems that somebody should be shot for designing
That's how D2 has always been. You're limited to 110 skill points if you make it to level 99 and complete all skill reward quests. Depending on prerequisites, thats about 4 or 5 skills maxed. If you want to make it through hell mode you will have to make a plan, or a build. For a barbarian that usually means picking one weapon type to master. Want to master another weapon? Make another character. Edit: please be aware the 1 free respec per difficulty and the token system for further respecs only happened later. Before that making a mistale with a skill point was a forever stain on your character.
The quick swap is how I accidentally sold my griffons to the gambling vendor. I fat fingered control/shift or something, sending the gambled circlet to my head, and griffons to the vendor. Yep. Gone in an instant. Still no new griffons on single player.
Best tip ever: On a lobby game, open inventory, control+left click your gear, and it will automatically send it to your mule. But your mules have to be named 'MULE_X' X in 1 to 9 for it to work
Console has a couple comparable features like the loot to cube and compare swap. I wish we had the single player respec and mouse and keyboard in general! Controller gameplay is so clunky! Thanks for another great video!
Interesting, I have D2R on Xbox and PC and I way prefer controller play. Although I play melee by preference and find it more difficult to cast spells accurately on console, so perhaps there's some difference.
@@greggen63 it doesn't translate properly. Teleport, leap, and whirlwind all have a fixed travel distance, regardless of the target that's selected. If you teleport onto an enemy that isn't on the edge of the screen, you'll go right past the target because you're on controller. Making telestomping literally impossible. I wont even bother with pvp or an hdin untill the game is properly playable. Till then I'm stuck with a full priced demo. Not to mention looting can sometimes also be literally impossible if there's too much clutter on the ground. We aren't allowed to pick up what we want because we don't have a cursor to select the drop we want, forcing us to pick up garbage and run to the side and hold the drop button for each individual item we don't want in order to reveal the item enough to stand over it and allow the game to highlight it for us to be able to pick it up
@@YumumsI don't find it as bad as all that. You're right about those particular skills, but I think on the whole they've done a great job converting the controls to console. I have also got used to shuffling my character to pick up that specific bit of loot. I guess it's each to their own, though.
@@greggen63 after playing D2 for 20 years, it's a completely different game. They did better then I thought was possible, but it's still not good enough. I can use mouse and keyboard on almost any game, there's even a circle cursor in the character menu. PC has both with seamless interaction between the two. There's no reason why both platforms can't have both inputs when they can both use them without any issues. I can use my keyboard to type because it uses the Xbox interface to type the message, but I have to press enter to return to game and then send with the controller. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops to play MOST of the game.

Wait! You can store town scrolls in your belt? Woah! Impatiently looking forward to the next tips. Maybe we can learn how to boil hot water.
Didn't know you could hotkey the cube. Thank you.
I didn't know you could quick bar the items to go to cube on console this helps lol.. im lvl 96 in single player and didn't know thank's
But your mules have to be named 'MULE_X' X in 1 to 9 for it to work
ctrl+left click with inv open will drop your gear on the ground.
I was watching the stream when you wrote down the idea for this video, and didn't it really happen? haha
Very useful! Thank you!
Additional note belt items skip animation frames
the command /nopickup is not represented in the options, it's a good one
@ number 4 you can just replace your id book. With a portal book
Great video ❤
Amazing and useful.
you can hotkey to cube on PC if you use a controller
I'm 100% new to Diablo. Got D2R because I heard it's the best. I have zero idea what I'm doing.
if you merc is naked and your inv is full, can you crtl+click it onto them from the ground? assuming no but who knows with the remaster?
you can put id scrolls in your belt too :)
I’ve been playing for 20 years and never knew you could drop gear over your merc nameplate….
Ooh. There was one. The cube hot key
Show a bastard sword in chat for a laugh
every time i see a cracked pike...
Next a graphics video? I realmente strugling to see good but cant put max in my old pc
Phil what chair do you use ?
This one, It's nothing expensive. Some amazon special. Ticova ergonomic chair. Just looked around on youtube for like"best budget chair" and got this one. Was recommended by sever channels.
Chair: amzn.to/3Hhky1V
I dont understand the hammerdin part what's different? Whats the quick cast? Is he not just holding shift+left click?
no, he just spams the hotkey, in this case, F1.
Wait wait.. How did you pick item from your cube and then open your stash while holding the item same time??? 🤔🤔🤔
I play on pc with a controller, they did a very good job
that number 2 was a game changer
Wow..... i`m pretty disappointed :( Really was looking for something new.
Anyone else losing their skill keybinds when starting a new game?
Go to controls - default - custom and its back. But it only happens when starting new character not just new game with already started character.
Happens to me a lot on console when I join an existing online game (no issues when I create my own online game, private or otherwise)
Annoying as hell sometimes
Is theres a way to key your cube on console i was doing it back in the days and last time a did a run a few months ago i think i lost a tyraels migth because of a stupid mana potion and i wasant quick enough for the cube
Link a buton to open the cube also speeds up farming and pvp
I was hoping to see something new, like how drop an item directly from cube as from stash :( or how to save and exit without touching the mouse.
Is it possible to quicksend when trading 40pgems or 40 random blue jewels? Been trading them for ists for a while now and I've always wondered if there was a faster way of doing it other than just dragging them over to the trade window one at a time.
Get paid first and mass drop
Sweet Phil. You knnow if youu can up the players on d2r on online ps5?
You can not manually solo change players count online. Must get other people in game with you.
@@SweetPhil Thank you sir
How do I respec if I don’t have any extra stat points?
Phill I have question about Andariel Tz I did around 2000 run andariel tz and I find only nightwing well 9 Ed and 3x Mavina armour and couple ring and amu . Not even one magic or yellow diadem phantom I doing Java on single player 96 lvl 420 mf players 3/5 and seriously 0 drop . I’m playing on PlayStation maybe this is reason ?
I don't think there's anything inherently different about drop rates on different platforms. If your solo online as opposed to P3 single player there will be a significant difference. Along with having at least like 200mf. If you are doing those 2 then it's just bad luck.
Ya, if you look up drop chances for most things it's 1/thousands. So it really is just a good luckÿbad luck thing
Is there a command to quickly move potions from your inventory to your belt?
shift+left click
Also works in reverse.
Thanks@@Bloodstar-o7
Shift Right click at Potions at the Vendor fills your Belt with this Potion. Same goes for Scrolls.
@@baslerbebbi3918 Thanks!
You playing D2 so much years but i think, you didnt know the best secret of this game in case of the Sorceress. Please click your telekinesis button and hold up to your stash. Its worth a Video only for that topic!!!!!!!
i know all of them 😊 still playing d2 since 2002 😂
Noob here, why do you not use a sash? I just noticed
He's using Arachnid Mesh, it just so happens to be as black as the background xD
@@AlejandroMeri Ohh ok thanks bro, I was wondering if no sash was some sort of veteran player strat 😂👍
I often times click on my Arach in stash thinking its an open space. I suppose it doesn't help that its etherial, which makes it impossible to see (trophy fail item). xD
now can rest my skills all the time
Free reset on single player.. Noice!
nothing new here, but hard to bring new content to a 25 year old game 🤷♂
Nothing new for you. Plenty of new for lots of us. Thanks Phil!
Its helping people out there. I love Phil's channel. Not trying to hate too hard., but the infinite MF glitch with souls a few months ago, THAT was something 'you NEVER knew about'@@PerhapsOOTMM
