I went to Michigan for my undergrad and Johns Hopkins for grad... and I can say with 100% conviction Michigan is the BEST SCHOOL OUT THERE. Perfect combination of work hard play hard. You'll never forget the memories and honestly just getting completely wasted out here. There's a reason why Malia Obama chose Harvard but Sasha Obama chose the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN. Other higher-ranked schools can be really pre-professional, pretentious, and small. And lower-ranked schools either aren't challenging enough or don't have the professors and resources that we do. Michigan is huge with a bazillion clubs and bazillion people, you will most definitely find people who like you for you and share the same interests. Most people are smart, not everyone though, so you're challenged to do your best but not completely f'ed over by the curve... most of the time. Maybe I just miss getting completely wasted honestly.
I can never tell my students lies.. People always say that "Oh I came to Michigan for its prestige, academics, research opportunities, connection etc.... yeah i did, but my decision was made after seeing this video! haha
I watched this video on 2012, when I was at university, trying to enjoy these years as much I could. And I did (in Italy btw, but the spirit is that). Now I am have a "good" office job, living the adult life, as them and as many of viewers... Only who didn't live "the peek" could be happy later. But then, are they even happy?

Michigan is a good combination of work hard play hard. Yeah our football isn't good but our basketball makes it to the finals/final four/elite eight every year. The cockiness comes from having high SAT scores, alumni like Larry Page from Google, and daddy's hedge fund money (sad). At least we're not like Northwestern where at every home football game their students literally rattle their car keys at the other team saying "we don't care if we lose since we're smarter than you and you'll be being our valet drivers one day, go get our car"
