Christmas in the city of 100 steeples plunges us into a festive atmosphere, in this magnificent city marked by the complex influence of Catholicism over its 1,000-year history, as well as by the influence of the Habsburg dynasties and their extinctions due to too many intermarriages, marked by the 30 Years' War (1618-1648) and the War of Spanish Succession (1701-1714). But because they neglected rigorous centralization in favor of freedom of religious institutions and customs, which no longer satisfied nascent nationalisme. Jan Hus's Hussite movement, which dates back to the 15th century, was an important religious reform movement within the Czech Church. Because they remained faithful to the Catholic faith, unlike the Reformation movement, the Habsburgs' dream of imperium mundi receded. In the Middle Ages, the term "universal powers" referred to the Holy Roman Empire and the Pope. Both were fighting for what was known as dominium mundi. The Czech Church contributed early on to the Christianization of the region. The nation embraced Christianity in the 10th century under the aegis of St. Wenceslas. Despite their rich history, the movement's criticism of the Catholic Church shaped Czech religious identity and encouraged independence and reform. Today's Czechs are deeply secular and distrustful of religion, due to the secular dominance of the Catholic Church and the overwhelming influence of communism. As the Communist regime encouraged atheism and suppressed religion, the 20th century saw major political and social upheavals. This period profoundly affected the nation's religious landscape, turning the majority of the population into atheists. Some claim that Czechs are more inclined to reject the existence of God and the supernatural than people in any other country. Nevertheless, Catholicism and Protestantism are still very much alive in the country. Thank you 👑 for this wonderful gift 🎁: to bring people together as one nation. Frédérick Michel Louis
omg i remember going to prague specifically for these Christmas markets last year and it being so over crowded you can see in video, and last year, lol i bought some socks from a vendor and when i peeled off the tag, the tag behind it was cheaper xD like the price at Christmas market was (in crowns) 10E but the sticker behind it was 5E, when i saw it i was like omg wtf is this scam? like they are charging double the price. lesson learned, dont buy anything at these markets
Hello! 🖐😀 Unfortunately, it's like that everywhere in tourist places worldwide. Sellers take advantage of buyers' emotional moods. It can hardly be called fraud because we buy it all ourselves, and no one forces us to. Of course, such places are not for shopping or eating but for a sense of beauty.❤

I'm driving home for Christmas
Oh, I can't wait to see those faces
I'm driving home for Christmas, yea
Well I'm moving down that line
And it's been so long
But I will be there
I sing this song
To pass the time away
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas
It's gonna take some time
But I'll get there
Top to toe in tailbacks
Oh, I got red lights on the run
But soon there'll be a freeway yeah
Get my feet on holy ground
So I sing for you
Though you can't hear me
When I get trough
And feel you near me
Driving in my car
I'm driving home for Christmas
Driving home for Christmas
With a thousand memories
I take look at the driver next to me
He's just the same
Just the same
Top to toe in tailbacks
Oh, I got red lights all around
I'm driving home for Christmas, yea
Get my feet on holy ground
So I sing for you
Though you can't hear me
When I get trough
Oh and feel you near me
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas
Driving home for Christmas
With a thousand memories
I take look at the driver next to me
He's just the same
He driving home, driving home
Driving home for Christmas
Driving home for Christmas
