Hmm is that so? I meant that to me the lyrics are like Kurt.. being sarcastic and nihilist about the concept of a creator. But hey! no problem ha ha it's always fun to exchange ideas with someone who admires Nirvana.
@@clintonpiercy6651 Kurt shot up with Layne in South America that's about as far as any collab. Kurt stated over and over he hated the term "grunge". So you are just speculating any collaboration with each other. Kurt was moving in different direction musically at the time of his death, so it's more unlikely than likely that would have happened. Sorry to burst your fan boy bubble.
Sappy predates Nevermind by about 2 or 3 years. - They attempted to record it during Nevermind, then again later for in Utero - but Kurt was never happy with how it sounded, so it was never used, not even as a b-side. The song was released posthumously.
The song was originally released as a secret track on the "No Alternative" compilation as "Verse Chorus Verse" in 1993, well before Kurt's death. Look it up. I remember getting this casette tape when I was in high school without even knowing Nirvana was on it and when this song came on, I had a new favorite Nirvana song for life.
rakrakrakrak You could be right. I’ll look that up. There were random odd tracks on different things all over the place. I remember getting getting hold of a Japanese release of something because it had Spank Thru as a bonus track - memory isn’t serving at the moment what that was on. Like ‘I hate myself and I want to die’ wasn’t a b-side it was on the beavis and butthead movie soundtrack - and the band didn’t actually care much for that song at all. Funny but the title has nothing to do with the song and is only called that because its what Kurt wanted to call in utero originally as a joke - because of how he was portrayed in the media - but Krist wouldn’t let him because of the obvious misunderstanding and backlash - well, which happened anyway.
Marigold is just fucking.... I can't describe how beautiful it is. I hate it was never "truly" released on an album, but I think I'd rather have it be a song that almost no one really knows rather than have it locked up and never be released to the public.
"Sappy", "I hate myself and I want to die" and "You know you're right" should've been released as singles or featured in any of Nirvana's albuns: these 3 songs are that fucking good!
Sonic highways was trash, even most ff fans don't like it. The only way I can see a person liking it is if they've not heard much outside of the mainstream.
This brings back some memories, remember my local record store selling several unauthorized bootlegs on CD several months after Kurt's death and I bought a few of them. These songs were on them but the quality wasn't all that great. Some were so bad that abt half the songs were billed as live, all they did was speed up album versions and add canned audience noise.
In Utero was originally meant to be called "I Hate Myself and I Want To Die", and was also going to be the title track for the album.....but Geffen said "nope, can't do that" (for obvious reasons)
"Moist Vagina" is one of the most underrated song of Nirvana to me.
Right though. i love moist vagina lmao
Absolutely agree. It's been a favorite I've always tried to share with my friends.
In Spain is the "Marihuana" song
When I first heard it on bootlegs way back in 1995 , we all thought he was saying marijuana
@@MichaelEBrown-wo4zb He is.
I think I have listened to every nirvana song.
at least 100 times
How about this one? ua-cam.com/video/a9lrvKJV5pQ/v-deo.html

@@LSD123. Yup I hear stuff I never have before once in a while. There's some version of Ivy League that I just came across I had never heard.
this is truly one of the saddest sentences ever spoke
These songs are great for the true fan!!
“Dave, you want to start a band of your own?! OVER MY DEAD BODY!” -Kurt.
“Ok.” -Dave.
nirvana > foo fighters. dave would agree
Dave created foo fighters in dedication to Kurt.
You do know that right?
Ouch 😮
I FUCKING LOVE SAPPY!
Sappy is God
Thanks, mate. I've always said that.. and peeps just thought I was trippin. Reading you say that.. makes me feel less of an autistic thinker ha ha
It's just amazingly written and the solo is great
Hmm is that so? I meant that to me the lyrics are like Kurt.. being sarcastic and nihilist about the concept of a creator. But hey! no problem ha ha it's always fun to exchange ideas with someone who admires Nirvana.
no no no dude, i totally agree with you on that too. The whole song over all is 10/10 my top favorite Nirvana song next to Drain You.
Daniel Stittums I arranged a version for piano and play it on a 150 year old piano. Fuckin love it
Sappy over anything on the radio today
i hate myself and i want to die is want of the best nirvana songs :)
Nirvana's outtakes kick the crap out of most of today's music.
Kurt cobain and layne staley
?? What ??
@@Obiwannabe both past away
@@akabara1237 I know but in the op there is no context. Layne also has nothing to do with nirvana.

other than they were both the kings of grunge and would have made great collaboration together? sure nothing to do with eachother...;|

Sappy was labeled Laundry Room on Kazaa back in 2002 when I downloaded it.
Lit. As. Fuuuuuck.
Marygold....the sound of the drums feels like I'm listening to it on the album in utero
B-side, c-side-d-side theyre all gold rip
Impresionante...Lo escuche de pequeño y me gustó
Is Kurt singing the harmonies on marigold?
I want to know that as well..
@@marekstruhar5574 no
Apparently, Cobain wasn't even in the studio during the recording of "Marigold". But, he could have overdubbed his harmonies later on. Who knows.
Who is singing in Marigold? It sound like Pixies. No wonder why of course.
In Sappy Kurt sings a tune on the chorus that reminds me Offspring.
Hunkey Sunday I think it's Dave Grohl
Dave is singing in Marigold
Dave Grohl!! He still sings this in his Foo Fighters concerts today!!
Is it Dave indeed? You mean Dave Grohl? :D
yes
Dude thats a nice username
The_Gaming_Kitty Thanks 👍
2019 any one
Where's "Oh, the guilt"?
That was recorded in 92
Verse Chorus Verse?
Sappy was mistakenly called Verse Chorus Verse, but there is a song called Verse Chorus Verse, which bootleggers named "In His Hands"
:'(
Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol? This is all wrong. Someone delete this video, please.
Brett Chambers
This songs are unrealeased,Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol was on In Utero (as a Hidden Song).
These songs are from a different era. GORA was only on the Japanese import of In Utero.
'GORA was only on the Japanese import of In Utero'. Nope, it was on all Non-U.S. pressings of the album
Okay, then all non-us imports. Still....
Why the f1ck did they cut Sappy? I think its in the top 5 of the In Utero releated songs!

Marygold would have fit right in on the first Foo Fighters album
marigold
agreed.
It was on first foo fighters demo
Hmm wonder why
Michael wright that wasn’t foo fighters...
Man... i forgot the riff of I Hate Myself and I Want to Die. It really sounds depressing, i can relate
Best people who ever lived
Didn't know that Marigold was a Grohl song: it's one of my favorite Nirvana songs.

sappy was officially released on the no alternative vinyl as a secret song and I hate myself was released on the pennyroyal tea single in 1994
I can picture Kurt listening to this version of Marigold and immediately reaching for the fat H bag in his jeans pocket
??? Great Band dumb fans
indeed, Foo Fighters fans are some dumb fucks indeed ,
Foo fighters first cpl albums were ok...after that they became horrible, redundant, lame corporate buttrock
Sonic highways was trash, even most ff fans don't like it. The only way I can see a person liking it is if they've not heard much outside of the mainstream.
Foo Fighters are a respectable band. Solid musicians without the "rockstar" crap bands were known for 20 years ago.

I can't really picture Sappy being on In Utero, Maybe Incesticide .
I love all 4 songs. "Sappy" is my fav Nirvana song. Surprised "Gallons on Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip" isn't on here
Right, I thought the same thing. Even though, I believe the song did appear on some international versions of IN UTERO. Still an outtake though.
listen to what dave says at the begging of IHMAWD
Ne prends pas de MARIJUANA, c'est mortel et dégueulasse
Sappy is such a beautiful agony song... thanks Kurt
I thought "Sappy" was called "Verse, Chord, Verse."?

Dave's voice is like mmmmmmmh
WTF?!!!... why the fetus?

Sappy solo killer time lol
LIKE!!!
Kurt could play the drums also, was dave singing & drumming?
I think Kurt was drumming on this and Dave was on guitar.
I think so too. Some people can sing and play the drums though, like the guy in the band spiderbait.
Stephen Noad Kurt started with drums...
And when they say drums you mean pots and pans and old suitcases.
dave on the drums and vocals. Recorded separate. Come on people think.
