It's simply possible that two unrelated groups of people figured out how to weaponize a staff in simliar fashion. Or Bebriscixe could be a farce, but I doubt that. MArtial arts exists everywhere in the world, it just might not exist in a way we can recognize it as martial arts.

This can all be seen in this very video (the style of grapping comes from the muslim empires and some of the sword play was brought over by of all things the jews... yeah that is weird. Even the jews are relucting to bring that one up).

Khridol Fighters are the best there were fights between some Khridol and karate guys in Georgia, khridol fighter won most of them.
