One night, lying in bed I thought I saw a cat run down my hall. My daughter had just left for college. I was sad and lonely in a new apartment and the cat came to me. 10 years later...hes old and his kidneys are starting to fail but he's still with me.

Add a TINY dash of salt to his food (which needs to be all wet food). This will increase his thirst, causing him to drink more water and help his kidneys.

I love this slow paced type of living. I think as you get older you tend to value simplicity and peace more. At 31, I wanted to be living this life with my husband but I know I have to work now just to save for a small living then get a home with a garden where I can grow my food.

My ex-husband is French and this reminded me of his family. I miss his grandmother every day and this reminded me of her and her home in the French countryside. I love how cozy everything felt in her home and how peaceful my time with her was. This is a great video, it really captured the feeling of being there again.

For many years I collected beautiful things purchased at home or from travels to Europe. About the age of 60 I knew I had to let go. I no longer wanted to spend my days dusting. I gave away probably half of those possessions and sold the rest. :( The only things I have left are what sit on top of my dresser.

I remembered a teacher that came from French that told us about the beauty of the countryside and how to try visiting it and not the big cities if we want to spend a quality time in France. And I kept thinking "how is life there" until this was recommended to me.

My neighbour has a same looking cat. When the cat goes out I go too for touch her. In France home and cat is difficult. How long I have to wait for a cat who knows! My mother also starts to love my cat when I left home.

The Grandmothers house was beautiful. I don't eat ham but it would be good to know where it came from before I ate it. So blessed. It was funny, you asked if you could bring some pictures back to NY and the next thing we saw was a car going down the road, lol.
