I didn’t watch live, but Korone’s debut was worse than a train wreck and she needed Okayu to come save her. I’m glad to have seen her growth, she’s now doing more than hour long full English streams and is much more cheerful, bubbly, and outgoing

Honestly, more people should be making these mini-documentaries, it's gonna be Hololive lore in the future after all. Just look at the full length docs out there like Suisei's vtuber career biography or the HaaWata movie. The former convinced me to fully fall in to the peko hole (by that I mean sub to all of them and stop resisting the urge to SC) and the latter made me get over my initial disdain for Haachama. (in my defense watching Haachama cooking when I didn't even know what a vtuber was was probably a bad move) In the future I will rewatch videos like this with a smile on my face, that's for sure.
PS: I'd like to see the day when someone makes a NoeFlare, Festivaluna or PekoMiko documentary, that'd be the dream.
The HaaWata movie and the suisei documentary was so great, I'd be ecstatic if we ever get more video like that.

@@joaogarcia6170 Yeah but it depends on content too, I'm not saying it's bad content but some people might not want to watch some types of videos/streams. You could say HoloEN has an advantage because of all of the English viewers so their growth was faster than some other VTubers. It does suck that they feel bad about their growth though, and yes viewers choose who they watch so we can't really say much.
Pretty sure Fubuki's would be much happier if her live viewers increased rather than her subscriber.

its kinda sad how fubuki's viewership on her streams are so low, even lower than smaller vtubers in hololive too. even though i dont understand japanese, i still like to watch her streams
Just a quick example, people always bring up boggie, who has a few million subs from early growth, but hardly gets viewership to match that.
It’s kind of hard to watch something in a language you don’t understand. I’ve tried but ultimately tuned out. This was in the past. Now I try to at least get in half an hour to an hour and leave a like. Possibly tune in from time to time if they’re still streaming or it’s a slow day at work.
I also didn’t know that Fubuki viewership was low since I heard she was pretty popular. Was this recent or been going on for a while?

Gura has also quite a bit of Spanish speaking fans. As a native Spanish speaker with ESL, her English is probably the easiest to understand to a non-native speaker IMHO. Dunno if that is the reason or people all over the world just love the shark but it might be interesting to consider.

@@DrunkenStorm118 I'm mostly just factoring in the buff from HoloEN drawing in new viewers to all of the Holo branches. I mean, newbies would be more likely to go from the EN girls to the most popular of the JP girls, and Fubuki is one of top memers of that branch. So it stands to reason she would benefit enough from that growth to skid past 1 million if the wave lasts long enough. It's just a matter of whether she can make it there before Gura. But as I said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gura got there first.

If the subgrowth of the three stays the same, as it is right now, then gura will reach 1mil first.
she has 850k and has been getting 15k+ for the last few days, according to socialblade her last 3 days were even 20k, 20k, 33k, so she has a slight increase once again. however if we take the minimum of 15k, then in 10 days she will reach 1mil.
fubuki has 933k right now and socialblade has her getting exactly 2k for a while per day, so without an increase or decrease it would take her maybe 34 days to 1mil.
korone had a lot of growth recently, though it has slowed down again, but it is still higher than fubukis.she has currently 920k and has been getting 4k and 5k and sometimes 3k, if i go with 4k, then korone will reach 1mil in 20 days.
socilblade also has an milestone estimation and i want to put it here too.

korone: 26 days
either way, all will reach 1mil soon and gura reaching it first will not say, that she is better, but that the english audience on youtube is just bigger. a lot of people were following hololive jp and a significant portion of their subscribers were overseas fans, but jp fans are still the majority of the audience for most of them. the current hololive audience can transfer to new members, as we saw in gen 5 with botan reaching 200k before her debut, but the debut of hololive en had also big numbers and i just dont believe, that the jp fans were all of them. jp fans probably have a decent interest in hololive en, but i would say, that a big amount at the beginning were overseas vtuber fans and now more and more english speaking people notice hololive.
A big part of the increase for gura is her previous fans subscribing to her.

I don’t think the vtubers themselves care about subscriber count that much. After all, they all belong to the same company and are all co-workers/friends. I don’t watch Gawr Gura that much but I’m sure theres a lot of reasons why so much people love Gura. The later gens will always get a lot more subscribers at the start as long as hololive is growing.

Indeed, she even was #3 in subscribers for a very short while... Only to end up almost instantly tail slapped away by Gura.
It's kinda painful due to how much effort she put to reach that place (Competing with Korone and Aqua isn't easy), but the hydrodinamic shark just proved to be too much... for everyone (around 900K subscribers in a month is just mental).
At the very least Pekora will always be remembered for being the first Hololive V-Tuber to have her very own Gundam ^^

Gura will be the first to reach the million, its subscribers are advancing very fast, hopefully to celebrate the million debut with its 3D model. The most surprising thing is that it has already secured the record of being the Vtuber that will reach the million in the shortest possible time, perhaps in 1 1/2 or 2 months at the latest.
