Tanaka ryuunosuke and Yamamoto taketora, their names are designed to show the rivalry between them since Tanaka has ryuu (dragon) and Yamamoto has tora (tiger) in their name. The dragon vs tiger rivalry are the common trope that can be seen in many anime, derived from Chinese myth (idk the specific story). And it's also kinda funny that they both has a common japanese family name. There's also azumane (east peak) Asahi (morning sun) vs nishinoya (west valley) yuu (evening)
9:00 That's spot on for sports. They often say "the team that makes the last adjustment wins." You neutralize their weapon, they come up with a new way around the defense, you adjust to that, and so on until the end of the game. It's just, right now, Karasuno doesn't have the skills, volleyball knowledge, or teamwork to keep up doing that.
That last point really highlights how well coached Nekoma is. It is so difficult to drill that mindset of never stop until the ball is on the ground into your players. Most people would see the initial receive go into the net and just stop because they'd assume that the point is lost, but Nekoma kept the ball in play and caught Karasuno off guard, and it was SO good.
I like how you talk a lot about adapting - one of Haikyuu's reactors, a volleyball coach&player (and not only him), said smth along the lines of "the one who makes the final adjustment wins". Good to see that this concept gets across even when the characters aren't talking about it directly! "I'm gonna end up liking this team too much. There's not gonna be any room in my heart for other teams" - oh you're in for a Lot of surprises :"D
I have to agree with you that Kuroo just looks & sounds intimidating. But I like him. He has got a certain charm. He's like a milder version of Oikawa.
WOOO I’m early!! None of your reactions have been disappointing! I love all the analyses and your thoughts on each character is pretty on point. Kenma will have more focus later on, I’m sure you’ll love those moments!
About you saying your closest in age to Ukai, The anime and manga are set in 2012/2013 for Hinata's first year at Karasuno. Hinata is 15/16 during this time. Interestingly Hinata is the oldest of the first years on Karasuno while Kageyama is the youngest. All four first years were born in 1996, Hinata in June, Tsuki in September, Yamaguch in November, and Kageyama in December. In fact Hinata is on the Northern Hemespears (NH) Summer Solstice, and Kageyama is on the NH Winter Solstice
@Kate-bl2mz I liked it. Yeah, they left out very important moments, and I wished it was a season rather than a movie, but It wasn't bad, I think they did an ok job, I was hyped and it had good moments. Could've been better? Yeah, but I get what you say tho
I feel like kenma might like it a bit but not all that much. Kinda just like one of the things you do in highschool out of habit. It’s a pretty normal attitude and I relate to it a lot especially when placed into the context of this anime with a whole bunch of super passionate people.
soo i have a friends valorant team and i am their IGL and my mechanical skills are nothing compared to our star player cuz of that i used to get depressed thinking that i am the one who played this game the most and i need to be better and carry but after watching daichi and nekoma play i understood that even though i dont have the skill i can make it up with my knowledge. Now i always tell my team 2 things before a match one is that "i am not the star player nor am i the best strategist to ever exist but i CAN make sure that we win the round" and the second thing is "The last team to make an adaptation will always win the game."
There is a lot of truth to it! Always stay on your feet, a match is never over until its over. Mental state is 70% of the game, and if your team can stay on top of that, you'll always be better off for it!
Don't worry... have been following for years and it is still yet to be known when the next 'official' garbage match will be!!! LOL! Really like your reactions and analysis (which always feel on point somehow lol)! Keep up the good work!!!
I would really appreciate an Instagram follow 🥹 Link in description ~
"there's not gonna be any room in my heart for other teams" oh you have no idea😂
i'm sure by season 2 the intro will become the classic "hey hey hey !"

and he's actually insanely smart, too. mr. chemistry major 😍
@@MonAhgasInsomniAroELF he's certainly a charmer, considering where he ends up at the end of the manga :)

15:54 One thing I love about this show is that it makes you love all the teams and in some cases makes you sad when the other team loses the match :)
Yeah, the official battle of the garbage dump is gonna be so so good, it's literally the most wanted match of the series. I can't wait
Yeah it's really happening season 5 is announced
In a way, it’s kinda underwhelming
The only great part of the movie was the jump

Oh I'm early this time
Even tsukki kinda got a fri while kage got none haha. And I want to see your reaction to kuroo in S2 😁
I accidentally gave a dislike instead of a like, I changed it (obviously)but I felt like apologizing anyway
I forgive you. Just make sure you always give that like from now on. :D
