Islets of Wildlife

Having as a background the eco-systems of Central Macedonia, Greece, more than 150 different species of birds are presented in the documentary "Islets of wildlife". They are seen in many different scenarios like spending the winter, nesting, temporarily stopping during the four seasons of the year in many different areas like the complex of rivers formed by Gallikos, Axios, Loudias, Aliakmonas or the lakes Kerkini, Volvi, Koroneia, Vegoritida, Petron, Agra or even the mountains Voras, Kaimaktsalan and the suburban part of Seih Sou forest.
Episodes :
"Spring" - Nature wakes up from winter hibernation. The scenery is enriched by sounds and colors from both the migrating birds and those who are destined to stay here and give birth to their young ones.
"Summer" - By now migration is over and birds have found their mate, nested and gave birth to their offspring's. The islets of wildlife are full of life.
"Autumn" - Some species have already migrated while some others are about to depart in the very near future. In the meantime winter visitors start to make their appearance. Islets of wildlife never stay the same and cover the needs of many different species of birds during each season. The magic of migration is visible here.
"Winter" - although everything seems frozen and quiet, life goes on. Permanent residents and winter visitors co exist in harmony either competitively or complementary, preserving and maintaining the never ending cycle of life.
