Based on a suggestion from the audience, Gabriela Montero performs an improvisation on the German folksong "Ein Vogel wollte Hochzeit halten".
Part 3 of the event "An evening Gabriela Montero: Improvisations, Brahms and Ginastera", featuring a recital of pieces by Johannes Brahms and Alberto Ginastera, as well as Montero's famous improvisations after suggestions from the audience - on themes by Giacomo Puccini, John Williams, Frédéric Chopin, Astor Piazzolla, and more.

About "An Evening with Gabriela Montero"
Gabriela Montero loves improvisation. The Venezuelan artist masters this uncommon art like
no other contemporary classical pianist. In her concerts, this remarkable talent has become
the highlight. This recital recording captures Montero's ephemeral gimmicks that fascinate
her audience.
Born in Caracas, Gabriela gave her first public performance at the age of five. She made her
concerto début with the “Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra” conducted by José Antonio Abreu
and was granted a scholarship from the Venezuelan government to study in the USA at the
age of eight. From her first contact with a piano, Gabriela has always improvised. At the
behest of Martha Argerich she decided to make it public, ignoring the possibility of being
perceived improper.

Estupenda! Te felicito Gabriela, pero luego de un rato, cuando retomaste el tema en la tonalidad de Do, me parecía suficiente para terminar con tu fuerza característica. Do, y no la m como final. De todos modos, bravo por tu ejecución. 😘🌹
