Hello, everyone! It's been a while since my last clip. This one took a while to finish but I thought it would be fun to compile moments where the otaku side of VSPO members comes out. I've provided info/context wherever possible so you might see a lot of translator notes this time. I hope you guys enjoy the clip. Did an anime/manga you like get mentioned? Were you surprised by any titles that came up? I might make a part 2 in the (distant)future...but for now, I'm going back to clipping TsunaRamu!

Shinsekai Yori is SO GOOD! If you're slightly jaded of normal anime, 100% give it a watch. It starts a bit slow, but trust me: IT'S A JOURNEY. Disclaimer: try to go in as BLIND AS POSSIBLE. Do not look up ANYTHING online. Don't even read the synopsis. I've watched easily over 500 anime shows since I started watching anime back in middle school, and Shinsekai Yori is easily in my top 10. It's so underrated it's a shame. It's so sad how it got released when a TON of extremely popular shows were airing, it kind of got dwarfed. Another one I'd recommend for the jaded anime fans out there while we're at it is Gankutsuou (pretty much The Count of Monte Cristo: anime edition). The art can take a bit getting used to, but it's so insanely good, too.

After watching Clannad, especially TAS nothing really made me cry anymore, really. That masterpiece was a whole lot life esperience. Also the OST...maaaan...
It is a banger but reccomending it to a newbie for anime stuff is so hard. It's also the kind of show that need long commitment since it's 25 episodes. That's why i always reccomend basic shounen stuff that have some thing exploding or happening in like two or three episode and gradually give more show that plot heavy and sometimes with little spice of fanservice to see if he hated that stuff or not. Because my endgoal is to reccomend monogatari series lol
I like the idea of putting all these moments together, 3:36 it's so funny to always get remembered of that Cpt moment also.. tbf Shinsekai Yori is between the 0.05% of 10/10 imo so can't tell Nazu was wrong suggesting it, I did as well to a couple of guys

i agree with tsuna!! violet evergarden is masterpiece from all of anime i ever watched. like the first 2 episode your eyes is fine but the rest of the episode will make you rain.
Shinsekai yori is genuine cinema. Nazuna has taste. It's not an anime for 'otaku' tho, since it intentionally breaks some tropes. Watch it if you like christopher nolan movies and go nagai manga And remember: 'we are humans!'
I didnt know Nazuna is so based for liking Sakurada Reset. Honestly one of the top time travel anime. Its not really explicit time travel but they mess with the concept of time in a really fun way due to how crazy some of the powers are.

I never differentiate shoujo and shounen and manga, if it's good it's good for me. But when they mention akagami no shirayuki hime i definitely think that's my top shoujo manga
Yea, cause unlike other V companies, they're not trying to keep an idol image, just normal otaku doing otaku things. That's why I also find VSPO so relatable!
I love it when you just use mainstream for 2:33 ou do(?) which translate to "king's path" usually refer to mainstream (the word that I try to remember lol) shounen trope manga where mc: -fight enemy -lose -training arc -meet new friends -defeat enemy with power of friendship -face new enemy and so on. that's "ou do" manga. prime example would be the big 4 DragoBleaPieceNaruto.
