- This is part 2 of an ongoing series, so I strongly suggest watching part 1 first to gain a better understanding of the challenge and for continuity and context. The link to part 1:
• Can you obtain every P...
In this challenge run, I will be finding out if it is possible to obtain every Pokémon in existence, while catching them all in National Dex order. Once I've obtained one, I am then allowed to move on and catch the next one after it. However, I am allowed to freely obtain any Pokémon as many times as I like after I've gotten it once.
This is one entire continuous series, meaning that for this leg of the challenge, since I've already obtained every Gen I Pokémon, I am free to catch any of them that appear.
It is not a living dex, so once a Pokémon has been picked up I am free to do whatever I like with it.
I can also use any games in the series, and can freely hop between them at will, along with being allowed to trade back and forth with them. I can go back to games I've used in previous parts of the challenge to pick up Pokémon if they are easier to obtain there, and if I want I can use any side games, peripherals, glitches or even events if need be, though I will primarily stick to main series games whenever possible. If obtained in a side game, it will only count as obtained once it actually arrives in a core series game, or Pokémon HOME.
With all that said, I do hope you enjoy this video. I spent the last 2 weeks tirelessly working at it due to the fantastic reception my first video got (just under 600 views, to me, is amazing).
Be sure to subscribe if you enjoyed this because I will definitely be making more of these videos and hope to one day fully complete this challenge.
Also I am annoyed that I didn't catch the couple of times in the video that it randomly cuts while I'm halfway through talking but have managed to stop that from occurring in future videos. - Ігри
Usually, you're limited to current or previous gens due to starter choices, but Pokemon Arceus Legends is usable since you have Cyndaquil unlocked.
Unfortunately you have to catch several Gen 4 tutorial Pokémon early before the game really gets going
@@michaelasmitty I wonder if you could make an exception?
@@StaraptorEagleit might be helpful after he gets to that point during Diamond/Pearl, but theres not much post Gen-IV except for regional forms or the new mons
He’s gonna have to make three saves in it though for the hisuian final starters and for miscellaneous evolutions and enamorus. The SwShSV DLC’s are going to be crazy too, with the two golems and the exclusive legendaries, especially Walking Wake and Iron Leaves
@@HmmBearGrr by the time he gets to the switch mainline games, he will already have most of the DLC Pokemon anyway (Kantonian Golem he already has and Alolan Golem will be gotten in one of S/M/US/UM)
Amazing video, absolutely love it. Also a smart decision to beat Red so you can already get 1 hoenn starter for your next video
The sidebar tracker is a nice addition.
Re-watching this what a jump in production value- great work
Oh wow I'd almost forgotten about the Pokéathlon. That was such a cool part of SoulSilver/HeartGold.
I loved the PokéAthlon! Such a cute feature. On par with contests, that’s for sure.
I loved the Pokéathlon so much I never played past it. I'd just spend hours there XD
I'm surprised you grinded 2 Eevee to max friendship instead of just loading up a new game of Pokemon Colosseum to immediately get both Espeon and Umbreon as starters.
I was thinking about doing that but decided that I'd only use side games if there's no way at all to get it in a mainline game (I love colosseum but unfortunately it's considered a side game)
Really good video! I never knew Ho-oh came back if you defeated it instead of catching it
This really was Can you complete the Pokédex by catching every Pokémon in Dex Order? (152-251)
Yes! It totally was!
That side screen showing what's next was a great idea.
Still no idea how you'll handle Victini though.
Love the extra lengths you went with the editing in this part, I look forward to the 3rd!
Kurt my favourite baller fr. You can already see the improvement in editing/production, great video!
yessss ive been waiting, will watch it fully after work tomorrow!
Best gen best gen! Been excited for part 2 to come out!
Excellent vid my dude! Excited for part 3!
Hell yes! Been waiting for part 2.
Wow! The jump in editing and audio quality even between these two videos was stellar! Thoroughly enjoying and am excited to see what's next for you
Really nice touch that the Unown in the Current slot changes from A to the form you actually encountered
yooooo shiny igglybuff lets gooooo
Will Gen 5 be impossible? Victini is first in the Unovan and National Dexs
Just finished the first video and I was a bit sad it was already over, not realising you'd already posted more parts!
nice vid as always i lookf orward 1 prt3

Alright, road to 2k subscribers! Found your channel today when the first episode was recommended to me
love the new sidebar. awesome video!
don't mind me, just waiting for part 3 whilst sipping tea
You're extremely underrated!!
Man I really like these. Keep up the good work.
Love it, this vid especially the production value shot up so much! Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Forever my favorite generation.
Fave new series. Good luck.
18:38 theres one!
Why did you start a third time to get all the starters when you have to play crystal anyway?
I have no defence, never thought to do that
RIP Typhlosion, you will be revived in Omega Ruby postgame
41:58 While Lugia _is_ a Legendary Pokemon, both of its offensive stats are at base 90. You could, I kid you not, bring a Level 70 Beautifly to that battle and have it do comparable amounts of damage (albeit, Beautifly doesn't have a 100 bp Flying-type signature move, which is one thing Lugia has over it).
This is the coolest series ever!!! Keep it up man! Subscribed
And 30:37 is why I use melonds instead of desmume :)
Yeah I switched halfway through video 3 because I was getting sick of the constant crashes
Man, I could listen to you read the phone book. Your voice is like velvet… this is by far the creepiest comment I’ve left on UA-cam and I’m sorry about that. I just find it soothing for some reason.
feeding the algo, watching part 3 as soon as i finish this
I always thought Celebi was locked behind events. Wild that some means exist to actually get one to spawn.
Your rival is my actual name. A uncommon name but a name in my language
8:52 is that siivagunner music lol
Good Luck hope you hit the algorithm great videos!!
You’re insanely underrated deserves more views
Greg McHugh! From fresh meat, that's who your voice reminds me of!
Bless the algorithm!
Great content!
I could never do this. It’s enough that I’m doing a challenge of getting pokemon in Pokeballs in their original game
Flying Venusaur hell YEAH
Him when gen 10 comes out
I'm still mad celebi is so goddamn hard to catch
Not really since nearly EVERY game has some that show up in 1 version but not the others and no you can't normally get all 3 starters UNLESS you own a 2nd copy of the games and trade the others yourself.
It also doesn't help that Pokemon #152 STARTS with the USELESS Chikorita line.
Quick question about this series will you do legends arceus for the pokedex in order or not?
I certainly will be, though you won't be seeing it til the gen 4 video thanks to certain annoyances caused by the tutorial
Okay thanks
Great.
ok since ORAS would give the hoenn pokemon, and there's an event distribution for victini there, i think he can play through ORAS normally then come back to it at the start of the part 5 video to activate the event to get victini before any of the starters?
based sandslash user
GOOD LUCKx2
Wow the algorithm is fast.
can i ask why you used chikorita instead of cyndaquil?
I don't understand why there needed to be a "sacrificed starter" in this run, since you could just trade it into your active game with a random gen 1 Pokémon, train it with much higher level pokémon and then actually start the second game with the last starter ?
(for gen 1, it was not possible since you can't catch anything before fully evolving all starters (althoug, without the Mew bait and switch, Squirle could have been fully evolved on Red))
Any idea how you're getting a victini before you get a snivy
I don't know why you keep overwriting a save with one of your starters. Wouldn't it make sense for your three games (Red, FireRed, LeafGreen) (Crystal, HeartGold, SoulSilver) to each get starter Pokemon to contribute to your count, since you need 3 games anyway?
why was there a kiwi on screen during the yanma part
🚨Underrated channel alert!!!🚨
For real, man. The algorithm took its sweet time but we're finally here
I am only at 23 minutes but did you evolve Eevee into Espeon? I don’t see that one!
Bayleef can't cut?? That's so weird.
Another for the algo
Noope
I skipped part 1 cause of the footage being stretched lol.
That's fair, the editing in that one isn't the best so I made sure to right a lot of wrongs in this one
@@KillerKiwi1642Funny how you used items in battle when most challenges ban those items (excluding held items, as those are fine) lol (though to be fair, it isn’t the main focus on the challenge anyways).
