Number Sentence Game

Get students moving and interacting with mathematic operations and number sentences with the number sentence game.
Directions: Create some cards each with a number 0 through 9 and pass them out to every student. Then think of a target number. Students will need to move around the room to create a number sentence equal to the target number. Students can add parentheses, exponents and any operation to get to the target number. When time is up everyone in the classroom needs to explain their sentence and listen to the others to check for accuracy. Award points to each group by giving one point per person in the sentence. The longer the sentence the more points. Then play another round but be sure students keep track of personal points.
