I'm the mother of twin boys. When they were toddlers they loved Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Cars, and The Muppets. Those properties were on repeat in our home for years. They visited WDW twice, at ages 2 and 5, and had a blast. They are now 7, and those properties have been mostly forgotten (except for the Muppets, they still LOVE them). They have been replaced by Mario, Jurassic Park, Despicable Me, Transformers, and Harry Potter. No matter how much I love WDW and still wish to go, I can no longer ignore that my kids will be happier going to Universal. Even after showing them the new concepts for Monsters Inc. and Cars areas, they don't care. One of them even used the word "lame".
If you don't make entertainment for young children they won't come to the parks. I said entertainment not agenda driven drivel that leaves the kids wondering why they just watched.
I think you hit on something. Disney is now making entertainment for those in their late 20s through mid 40s. They are catering to the childless "Disney adult" woke warrior. Unless they do a full 180 Disney is going to be a shell of its former self.
I want to personally thank this Channel for giving us Walt Disney fans a voice. I feel like there’s no voice in the Disney Board Rooms and meetings that has a voice for what Walt Disney would want!

I actually saw someone on X saying that those of us that hate all the IP being shoved in was ignorant because Disney World has always been full of IP. Until Splash was built there was no IP in MK outside of Fantasyland, there was NONE at Epcot until they changed the Living Seas and none in AK until Pandora. DHS had a few, but the whole park was ABOUT movies. I wanted to argue with them so bad, but honestly if they actual think that way it was clearly not worth it to even try.

Why can’t they just do an Expansion in MK on the outer part of MK that would not jam up MK for years and years with these horrible construction walls?? On top of getting rid of Walt Disney designed and approved Lands, Ride and Attractions!!!
Yeah, when your company is losing value by the day, what you probably don’t want to do is create a huge boondoggle that will put a huge chunk of the park out of commission for years. Especially when the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure boondoggle is still ongoing.
Tearing out River of America and the only shady fun place for kids to romp Tom Sawyer Island, is wildly idiotic. Like you said in another video, they don't need to tear stuff down, that's NOT expansion.

This kid is something else, just wow, very well spoken and I like how at first he wasn't really looking into the camera, but as the conversation went on he seemed to get more comfortable speaking and looking into the camera. If he doesn't have a kids theme park channel, he may need to with his parents and think about one where he can give that type of perspective for the parks.
I love the old disney. I bought into The disney vacation club, and took my children for many years. When I become a grandfather, will I take my grand kids to the disney parks? No way! I will stay at disney resorts and take my grandchildren to universal. Epic universe is great! I will always remember walt disney with fondness. But Walt is gone and black rock disney doesn't know what they're doing. Go woke go broke.

You know Max one of the restaurants that really surprised me was the Galaxy Bowl restaurant in the Cabana Bay Resort. The food was really good we had a Philly steak sandwich, and the wedges were even good! Very crispy and well seasoned. Another thing that was shocking to me was how good the leaky cauldron was. There is an 1# rated English pub restaurant near us that is famous for their fish and chips. Dare I say universals came very close to theirs. My favorite part of the trip for me was the total immersion of the wizarding world! Getting off the train and walking into Hogsmeade was emotional for me. I really felt like I was there living my own wizarding story. And of course Hagrids is the best ride in the world. 🌎

The D23 announcements for the parks feel a bit dated? Is cars still a relevant franchise that warrents a premium spot at the magic kingdom? If Disney is replacing rivers of america then I expect a flagship franchise. Also Indiana Jones in Animal kingdom seems years too late. Indiana Jones 5 was a flop and now they are investing in a Indiana Jones retheme? Disney relies on IPs that were relevant a decade ago. Then they are needing years to build these attraction. By this time the ip may have become irrelevant and Disney is stuck with a ride with an aged ip. That may not be a problem if the ride itself is good. But when the ride is mediocre, then the park will feel dated. Disney is currently very bad in keeping its ips relevant.
In the meantime Disney reboot those franchises with terrible movies that completely alienate the fans and they'll sit around wondering why people aren't showing up. 😂

Man Disney did this whole Epcot Overhaul and they still did not replace the Wonders Of Life, The Imagination Pavillion is still dated and World Showcase only has 3 rides when that area of the park has 11 Pavillions. Epcot has plently of expansion space there is a huge plot of land in between the Seas and the Land Pavillion and there is space in between the China and Germany Pavillions. Epcot has so much room for more rides yet they refuse to use it.
WDW Pro, We can't really make this claim for sure until Epic Universe is open and Disney has opened the new attractions that it announced at last weeks D23. Then we will know if the Magic Kingdom is losing next gen. Anyway what some might consider dud expansions others will see them as the best things since sliced bread. 7:23 Hagrids was the best thing I've ever done. I've hated roller coasters for most of my life! I conquered Thunder and Space Mountain and Slinky, so Hagrid's was a huge step up for me, or seemed like it anyway. And oh my god that ride is so smooth, so fun, so much happens, it's a great length. Not too intense, but still a big thrill. Just one of the most perfect roller coasters I can ever imagine existing. So I'm right on board with this kid! Hagrids for the first time was one of the most exciting moments of my life lol! I tried Tron a couple weeks ago seeing that I conquered Hagrids, and no that was smooth, but it was still a little more intense for me. Even though it's so short! It wasn't as good. I'd much rather ride Hagrids over Tron
We were a Disney yearly vacation sometimes twice a year, until my kids hit 13-14. They wanted thrill rides and Disney truly has none. Universal may have the best coaster in the world atm in Veloci-coaster and they are knocking the new lands, out of the park! I feel Disney has spent too many years treading water with blue sky ideas and now they are fighting from behind, off their back foot. Disney will always be a very special place to me, my wife and my kids, but Universal is where it's at.
I shared the news of new attractions to my sons- 19 and 15 who we all love Disney parks. I gave them a good news / bad news story about the proposed additions. At first they liked the ideas of the additions. When I told them the bad news of what was at risk, they used words I had never heard come out of their mouths before in protest!
I’m an annual pass holder at Disney and I go often. The quality of the cast members has gone down. No one is talking about this. Cast members are rude, don’t value families, as a matter of fact most of them won’t have kids replaced by pets. Disney lost its north and it’s broken from the inside out.
The crazy part to me is Diagon alley has been sitting there since 2014, and not one of those lands Disney built even came close. Now they’re doing 4 more at Epic 😬😬. (I have no confidence in imagineering)
The state of Imagineering is exactly why I don't want any of this done. I too, have no confidence that they can pull any of this off in a way that is worthy of Disney World. It will be half-assed, slapped together, scaled way down, and still take 10 years to complete.

I had passes to both and went by myself. I loved the fact that Universal had single rider lines on most of the bigger rides. It was such a breeze to just walk on and not have to wait long at all!! The only single rider line I didn't like was Velacicoaster. It took forever lol. So I really hope Epic Universe has a lot of single rider lines as well.
I have so many happy memories with Disney from my childhood, and I always thought I would bring my future kids to the parks someday so they could make lots of magical memories too. But with how far Disney has fallen, that’s probably not gonna happen. 😢
We’ve been back to Orlando around 8 times now since 2021… all to universal. We did add a couple road trip days last spring, we did the space center and the fort in St Augustine. The only “Disney” thing we did out of all the trips was a visit to Disney Springs to eat at Rainforest Cafe 🤷🏼♀️
Im a lifetime disney kid and i personally feel pretty salty and disgusted with disney for ruining my family vacation plans by pushing political nonsense and wrecking wdw with crap 'updates' and general lack of maintenance and standards that everyone is reporting. My little girl who obsessed with princesses (and named after a disney princess) is going to meet her first princess in Super Nintendo World. Disney really screwed themselves...now they have a generation of angry exdisney fans who are going to take their kids to Universal instead.
After Disney's respond to that guy who sue them for his wife's death, people should just stop going if they are going to treat their customers like that.
Only people used to going to Disney that just do not think about it would go to Disney these days. Any new young couples or families want to go somewhere better.
Epic universe will be open next summer. I would not be surprised if families and people in general are looking at the updates for Epic and deciding to save their money, passing on disney, and waiting to go to universal in 2025 instead.
Getting rid of Splash Mountain for a ride that doesn’t work often and sucks when it does+bulldozing Rivers of America are two reason why me and no others will ever be back!

Preceeding our Mousecott of all things Disney, ......on the eve of the plandemic our Florida wedding party of 17 spent 3 days at WDW, then we went to Universal Orlando. Everyone agreed,.... Universal was more enjoyable and a better value. Planning another wedding around the opening of Epic Universe next Spring!!!

I tried Tron a couple weeks ago seeing that I conquered Hagrids, and no that was smooth, but it was still a little more intense for me. Even though it's so short! It wasn't as good. I'd much rather ride Hagrids over Tron

We were a Disney yearly vacation sometimes twice a year, until my kids hit 13-14. They wanted thrill rides and Disney truly has none. Universal may have the best coaster in the world atm in Veloci-coaster and they are knocking the new lands, out of the park! I feel Disney has spent too many years treading water with blue sky ideas and now they are fighting from behind, off their back foot. Disney will always be a very special place to me, my wife and my kids, but Universal is where it's at.
If you went to Disney for "thrill rides" you can only blame yourself for that one 😅
I shared the news of new attractions to my sons- 19 and 15 who we all love Disney parks. I gave them a good news / bad news story about the proposed additions. At first they liked the ideas of the additions. When I told them the bad news of what was at risk, they used words I had never heard come out of their mouths before in protest!
I’m an annual pass holder at Disney and I go often. The quality of the cast members has gone down. No one is talking about this. Cast members are rude, don’t value families, as a matter of fact most of them won’t have kids replaced by pets. Disney lost its north and it’s broken from the inside out.
I would say hey dis take notes uni is theme parks right but then... id rather they not get nice things
The crazy part to me is Diagon alley has been sitting there since 2014, and not one of those lands Disney built even came close. Now they’re doing 4 more at Epic 😬😬. (I have no confidence in imagineering)
The state of Imagineering is exactly why I don't want any of this done. I too, have no confidence that they can pull any of this off in a way that is worthy of Disney World. It will be half-assed, slapped together, scaled way down, and still take 10 years to complete.

I had passes to both and went by myself. I loved the fact that Universal had single rider lines on most of the bigger rides. It was such a breeze to just walk on and not have to wait long at all!! The only single rider line I didn't like was Velacicoaster. It took forever lol. So I really hope Epic Universe has a lot of single rider lines as well.
I have so many happy memories with Disney from my childhood, and I always thought I would bring my future kids to the parks someday so they could make lots of magical memories too. But with how far Disney has fallen, that’s probably not gonna happen. 😢
I’m 68 years old and definitely not considered next gen, but I will never set foot into Disney again and look forward to what’s new at Universal!
next trip to orlando for me will 100% be to universal studios and 0% disney world

We’ve been back to Orlando around 8 times now since 2021… all to universal. We did add a couple road trip days last spring, we did the space center and the fort in St Augustine. The only “Disney” thing we did out of all the trips was a visit to Disney Springs to eat at Rainforest Cafe 🤷🏼♀️

Im a lifetime disney kid and i personally feel pretty salty and disgusted with disney for ruining my family vacation plans by pushing political nonsense and wrecking wdw with crap 'updates' and general lack of maintenance and standards that everyone is reporting.
My little girl who obsessed with princesses (and named after a disney princess) is going to meet her first princess in Super Nintendo World. Disney really screwed themselves...now they have a generation of angry exdisney fans who are going to take their kids to Universal instead.
Well, might as well close down disney world permanently

After Disney's respond to that guy who sue them for his wife's death, people should just stop going if they are going to treat their customers like that.
Only people used to going to Disney that just do not think about it would go to Disney these days. Any new young couples or families want to go somewhere better.
Epic universe will be open next summer. I would not be surprised if families and people in general are looking at the updates for Epic and deciding to save their money, passing on disney, and waiting to go to universal in 2025 instead.
The idea that it's new is insane, it's just a tear down on something pre-existing

Let's see Star Wars or Jurassic Park well as much as I love pre Disney Star Wars I can't ignore that those days are over but when it's comes to Jurassic Park I still love that franchise despite my hatred for Dominion.
Also the Jurassic Park River Ride is still awesome to this day just went on it 2 weeks ago oh ya and that Ride was made in the 90s let that sink in.
But if we lived in a world where Disney never bought Star Wars I would want a Jurassic Park Star Wars crossover.

Preceeding our Mousecott of all things Disney, ......on the eve of the plandemic our Florida wedding party of 17 spent 3 days at WDW, then we went to Universal Orlando.
Everyone agreed,.... Universal was more enjoyable and a better value.

I'm 60 and have taking my family on two out of state trips to WDW. Now, I don't see how I'm going to foot the bill for anymore big family trips.

No why is this me at 11 when i became a Disney nerd at age four before going and not going until I was 9 and knowing every fact even tho disney has in fact become mid
This user had one misconception….. I don’t think anyone is dating those ip’s don’t belong in Walt Disney World ……. Is this user unaware of the number of parks in WDW in Orlando Florida? Is she unaware? These ip’s don’t belong in Magic Kingdom ….. just one of the parks in WDW. They make sense in a couple of the other parks in WDW property. But not magic kingdom.
If disney doesnt STOP this MK nonsense, I WILL forever go to Universal over disney when I go to Florida…. And I go to Florida a LOT.
