Walked along the pier many times......such a lovely place and especially in summer months...am so lucky to live a matter if a few miles from here.....So blessed....even at times like these...thank you for sharing this great video....👍👍🤗
The waves in the harbor are scary, amazing, and beautiful. I'd love to live by the sea. Great footage Rob. Your video inspired me to actually sign-in to my UA-cam channel for the first time in 7 years so I could comment. I have some catching up to do. :)
Thank you for commenting, Steven! I think it has been at least that long since I uploaded anything to UA-cam, but since moving to Cornwall I've jumped back into making videos of the area, so I had to jump-start my UA-cam and push it in a different direction! I've made half a dozen or so but I want to make more. I have new cameras and a drone but we have had so much wet weather that I haven't been able to use them much. Roll on summer! 😊
For years we holidayed in Porthleven. One year we stayed in a cottage called Kelynac. Past the clock tower and the larger cottages. To set the scene: There was a lane in front of the cottage, over the lane, through the gate were quite a few steps down to the garden which overlooked the sea. A postie once told us that the weather was so bad that the waves went over the actual cottages. We love Porthleven but like most places it's changed a bit. The pastie shop on the left opposite the harbour and does lovely pasties. We're off to Padstow in a couple of days to stay in a friend's caravan but shall visit Porthleven and have a pastie. If we eat in the pub, lovely food we'll have to take the pasties back to Padstow😂
Thank you for commenting. Porthleven is the largest town on that southern coast and often gets the worst of the weather. However, when the weather is fine, it sometimes feels warmer as it is sheltered from the north coast's winds. I hope the weather improves for your time at Padstow. It is only a short walk along the clifftop to Harbour Beach if it's sunny. And I agree with you that Philps pasties are one of the better ones. As the Cornish say, "They're 'ansum!" 😄
Thank you, Steph. No, I just got an unexpected shower. The electronics in my camera started flashing on and off but settled down soon after, thank goodness! 😄
Waves in the harbour was nothing more then a swell.not what I’d call rough.if you feel unsafe then don’t venture to the waters edge.when you get a high tide and a big swell.then you will get waves lapping over the prom etc.i live right by the sea .and sea this every day..storms etc in the uk is nothing new.don’t no why people get so excited.
TAKE CARE AND all the best. 👍👍👍

Stunning footage mate, ive seen some proper beasty tides down there 😍😍 we had a fairly bug one in bude too
Cornwall has been taking a battering in the past few months. Here's hoping for sunnier weather! 😊
This is a place we know well, and it is a pleasure to see and hear it. If I may ask a favour, please lose this music, all of it. Best wishes.
Ruined by the unnecessary music!
Thank you for commenting.
Don’t play music mate 😢
