It looked like it does the job. I've had to fix named brand products to get them working. It's usually an easy fix. It appears to work really well. I agree the course grit gets the job done, without sacrificing time. Thanks for the show and tell. I usually float the beads and then scoop them off and only use them for that grit again. I have bags for each grit. I use a nut pick to get the beads that get stuck. Thanks for the show and tell. Keep the fun coming! 😷⚒
This tumbler is very similar to the National Geographic Platinum Series Tumbler (which is only 2LBs, but the barrel is otherwise identical. A great barrel!). The timer and three speeds are very similar. NG got stage 1 grit right but got polish completely wrong (silicate carbide). NG was entirely insufficient quantity of grit in packets. I am guessing the same Chinese company(ies) were involved in sourcing this tumbler. The speeds by the way are much too fast (going to bruise rocks) except for maybe a stage 1 tumble on speed 1. The NG tumbler does have a hood, which significantly reduces the noise.
Started my first batch last year and still need to do the final stage waiting for the spare rubber. Ordered another one. Eventually, I would love to own as many to have all stages running at all times. Made a mistake by mixing stones of different hardness in the same round. Not recommended. Hi from Slovenia. P.S. I have the tumbler in my mom's old cosmetics coffin. it makes less noise inside and I put the coffin in the closet can't hear it at all. Didn't get the plastic palettes with my tumbler are they crucial or can be done without?
Thanks I appreciate that! Lortone is my go to! Like I said in the video they have been for 15 years! but some people didn't want to invest in those right away and if your new and Don't know if you will like the hobby I do suggest this. I have had 2 other tumblers sent to me and I have not finished the review just because the thing didn't work or broke half way through.

Have you done reviews like this before?
Yes why? sometimes I get products and the products break and I never show anyone... so it depends :)
Just curious
does the rock tumbler normally come with a cat???😳
I think this time it was just "ME" thing lol
😀
thanks
Don't waste your time on this product, do it right and go Lortone
