I didn't know that ski Mountain even existed, although I'm short on room but I think I could fit it on separate table next to the layout/display. Great video seeing how it works. Doesn't seem to be dept 56's best effort.

It was one of Department 56's earliest attempts at animated items. It's temperamental but beautiful and fun when it's cared for.

Well I got my Ski Mountain only to find out it has the same motor issue. Seems to be a trend with these units. Too bad they didn't put one in with brass or aluminum gears in the reduction unit. Thanks for posting the link to the Happy Holiday Parts!
