  • The PPSh-41 is a Soviet submachine gun designed by Georgy Shpagin as a cheaper and simplified alternative to the PPD-40. A common Russian nickname for the weapon is "papasha" (папа́ша), meaning "daddy", and it was sometimes called the "burp gun" because of its high fire-rate.
The PPSh is a selective-fire submachine gun using an open bolt, blowback action. Made largely of stamped steel, it can be loaded with either a box or drum magazine and fires the 7.62×25mm Tokarev pistol round.
The PPSh saw extensive combat use during World War II and the Korean War; in Eastern Bloc countries, monuments celebrating the actions of the Red Army commonly feature a PPSh-41.It became one of the major infantry weapons of the Soviet Armed Forces during World War II, with about six million PPSh-41s manufactured in this period, making it the most-produced submachine gun of the war.

Yes, it has a high firing rate, and this is one of the reasons for choosing a high-capacity magazine. It may be one of its disadvantages

@@themost9058my grandpa used one of these when he was in the russian army!
According to him, one of the main disadvantages of the first versions of this gun was that after a few shots it would quickly lose power due to heating up. This power loss was so significant that you could stop a bullet with a few pillows

@@themost9058I think it might have *thee highest* rate of fire (next to the ingram). If not it's gotta be on the top 10. A mechanical marvel. Thank you for breaking it down for us.

The sear pin must really work hard inside this bad boy. I'd give my life just to see someone make a transparent reciever, so we could witness it's mechanics on a mag dumb.

Animasyon çok güzel ama çalışma prensibi karışık olan silahları farklı açılardan ve bazı parçaları görünmez yaparak göstermelisin bence

Good gun, but notorious for the magazines creating feed issues if they didn't exactly match the particular gun. Nicknamed 'Pappasha' (Daddy)
