I love mine. So I don't know why everyone is complaining. While water is heating up get them ready put in boiling water done in know time and easy clean up.
I think you're supposed to put them in cold water to stop the cooking when you do regular hard boiled. That's what my instructions say. Going to try them tonight. I despise peeling the shells off. A little extra time in the beginning is worth not having to struggle in the end for me.
Worked well for me! Did they read the directions? You only need to enough water to keep them from making contact with the bottom of the pot. Of course it takes time to boil an excessive amount of water.
The idea is for you not to have to contend with getting the shells off of the eggs. If you have really fresh eggs they are next to impossible to get pealed. these work well for that. I love mine.
I GOT A VERY GOOD DEAL AT A GARAGE SALE. I PAID $0.50 FOR FOUR OF THEM, I HAVE ONLY USED THEM FOR MAKING LEMONADE FLAVORED ICE SO FAR BUT PLAN ON TRYING THEM WITH EGGS SOON
Yeah, sillies, way too big a pot of water. I boil my water in an electric kettle, then pour it into a pot that has a small amount of water that's already boiling. 2 minutes to bring enough water for 4 egglettes.
