never understood the "Cats are evil because they try to kill the good mice" trope. Mice are disease carrying vermin that cause serious damage to homes and society at large. Cats are wonderful for trying to keep them in check. "How dare that cat try to kill the mice that are destroying our food stores?!?"
Great old cartoon! I remember this one scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.
When he busted the Mouse Traps eyes I fell out laughing.
The 'invention gags" prelude was done much more effectively by the Fleischers, let alone Tex Avery.
An electronic device that sounds like it runs on steam...? Seems legit.
great cartoon, thanks for the upload
Mighty, by mere thought, can discover mice in trouble with his mind's eye. What a mouse!
Does anyone know who the narrator was? Paul Terry himself, perhaps?
Paul Terry was NOT the narrator.
+Barry I. Grauman Okay, then, do you know who WAS the narrator?
It wasn't me! This cartoon was made six years before I was even born!
Sounds like the same voice that does Oil Can Harry.
But he was named after Terrytoons,Paul Terry. That makes sense, doesn't it?
One cat made an account and disliked this video.

Maybe it’s because mice are cute, in the same way as squirrels, bunny-rabbits, chipmunks, etc.
I saw this as a kid. I loved it then, and I still love NOW! Mighty Mouse come and rescue the USA from plutocrats!
