It’s easy to feel this way when you have money, a home already, and a solid foundation. But, the people complaining aren’t asking for socialism nor are they negative Nancy.
Also, they aren’t lazy. There is something to say about “pulling yourself up from your bootstraps” but working hard or smart won’t help home affordability in this country.
Something happened within the last 3 years that put home ownership possibly out of reach for many forever.

I never said anyone was lazy. I did insinuate that people like to feel sorry for themselves instead of finding solutions. I come from nothing, so I know it's not easy, but it is possible.
And unfortunately, I speak to people on the daily basis who regret listening to negative Nancys. They wish they had purchased a home when they could've (late 2020-early 2022), when it was one of the most affordable times in the last 40 years to buy a home.
People also need to be careful who they take council and advice from.

Omg your point about (some) americans being lazy and entitled while immigrants know what they had and why they came to usa in first place. That is so true, it bc of perspective but wow that part of the video hit hard sir ashley bc ur right

I was born in Mexico and I agree with you. It was not easy for me but we own 2 homes. We are Selling 1 of 2 homes with low interest rate, can I transfer the low rate to another my other home? Or if I buy a new home can I transfer the rate?

I'm 21 and considering a move to either South or North Carolina. Coming from Florida, I'm drawn to a place with fewer distractions and more affordability, where I can also connect with fellow young entrepreneurs.

Excellent insights Ashley. I was watching the housing market since 2017, brainstorming where to buy playing around on Zillow like most people. If I had buckled down a year earlier I could have bought in 2019/2020 before prices shot up, but it is what it is. Of course you know they were talking about a crash even before that. Had to pay more in 2021, but am glad I got a low rate and my mortgage is well under $2k a month with no PMI which wouldn't be possible now. And I learned that fixer-upper experience others did not.
The media purposely gives people an out to sit on the sidelines by saying its cheaper to rent than buy right now. Yet the same people are not happy with their rent, and it would have been cheaper to buy 3 years ago than rent now - and will probably be more expensive to rent in 3 years versus buying now. Like you said, these Corporate investors and 1st/2nd generation citizens are not playing, they will hold these properties for the next 20+ years. I'm giving myself a three year limit to upgrade my current home and buy a second property, whether that's a forever home or a rental property.

Just got through a divorce and now a single mom. I asked my parents to move back in to save. I'm debt free, 720 credit score, truck paid off. Thank ful my parents let us live here all expenses free❤. I plan to buy when I have 80k which will be in 1.5yrs. I'll have my 20%down and use the rest to buy down my rate and extra for any emergencies. My income alone is sufficient and at the median income for my state for a 2 income family. I'll rather make the sacrifices now so I can have a stable environment for my son. ❤
