BDO Hiring sailors and improving ships

- I'm back after freezing this winter with a video that will help players new or confused by the sailor & sailing mechanics to BDO.
This will be especially useful for players based in Epheria Port (best port ever!).

Looking back, that fight against the Ghost ship is painful to watch.
However, it was my first time using the new cannon mechanics on an upgraded Epherial Sailboat. xD
Correction: The merchant that sells the sailor contracts ALSO tells you where to find them.
It will be found under the "Talk" option of the merchant npc.
Is there no boatman available for “gear slot” for caravel or Galleas?
Sailors can only go into Cabins. Both the Caravel and a Galleas has 30 cabins.
The number of cabin spots per sailor depends on the quality of each sailor.
(Better sailors take more cabin spots.)
Probably the noobest question but, how do I shoot the cannons while sailing?
Depends on your ship.
Normal ships require you or another player to hold on to the cannon (press "R") and then "Shift + Left click" to fire.
Improved ship cannons can be fired by the Captain by Left click (Port side) or Right click (Starboard side).

Can you crew ships with your friends in this game?
Sort of.
Your friends can use any cannons you have above deck and help you spot danger from the top (Crow's nest).
However, it does not have the complexity of Sea of Thieves.

How do I increase the number of sailor since I can only hire one and no matter how much sailor contract I have I can't hire unless I fire one.
The "Great Expedition" quest will expand your limit to 6.
After that, there other Black Spirit quests to increase the limit past 6.
