Peytons not a bad person at all. She just got caught up in her feelings and made a mistake. After Brooke told Peyton that Brookes feelings for him were actually real, Peyton broke it off with him right away. Also, It's not just Peyton's fault, it was Lucas's too. So dont just blame Peyton. Also, it was pretty clear to Brooke that Peyton was the one Lucas wanted. They kissed right in front of her in 1x07... so I don't know why she went after him when Leyton still had some weird vibe thing going on.
I think Brooke liked that he was different than the other guys she has previously dated and thought that he would choose her in the end at least at the time the triangle started. She fell for him and I always thought that she liked that he accepted her and that she could open up about things. I think Lucas was one of the few people to know about her home life just because she didn't disclose it to most of her other friends. They just knew that she was rich and her parents were always gone, but I think Lucas was able to see how hurt she was and that she trusted him to let him in at an early point. Just my take on it though
I don't completely disagree but even Brooke within a week is asking for tips from Peyton because Brucas ARE so incompatible! She got jealous of Lucas with Peyton's dad. Suddenly she acts like Peyton stole him when she liked Lucas first, kissed him first

I wouldn't say that say Brooke was at fault here, she liked Luke and she asked Peyton if it was okay for her to go after Lucas, the person who is most at fault here is Lucas, who went after Peyton even though he was dating Brooke
This scene is absolutely in my top 5 LP scenes. I love how Peyton turns away and Lucas captures her lips with his. And I was extremely happy that he finally admits he was just "using" Brooke because he was afraid of being hurt by Peyton again. I mean it was clear all along IMO but it was nice hearing it from him ;)
but you get that with all couples - steamy when the first start out and romantic and cute later on. Look at season 6 - falling asleep on the sofa, the marriage its soooo romantic x
Well there is a deeper intimacy plus it's not like they were not steamy. (601 etc it's just more emotional plus they had the baby scariness I thought that showcased all the passion and love) Naley were the boring ones who got married at 16 for me

Payton and Lucas were not planning on continuing to date behind Brooke’s back. They were going to tell Brooke after Lucas’ mom was picked up from the AirPort, but the accident with Keith happened.

Lucas only had pretty words for Brooke, his actions said differently like constantly being there for Peyton. Hell their relationship started out toxic with Brooke putting Lucas through all these games to be with her. And her sleeping with Chris Keller. Unlike Leyton who had this intense emotional connection from the start who just could talk to each other about anything her issues with being alone and his with rejection. They never put anything or anyone above each other. Lucas words match his actions when it came to Peyton. They were the better couple. Brucas was nothing more than just sexual relationship. And Leyton was a soulmate relationship.
