Mario Party was never the same after this game. This was the peak of the series. And this hits so much harder when you play it on your birthday. The only problems I have with it is the sheer amount of magic lamps the CPUs use, Slime Time and Domination being the same minigame, and Speedwagons being too easy

I will treasure them forever. For MP4, I actually managed to beat Story mode in one sitting with Wario, without losing once like this video, which took me from about 7:45 PM to 1:06 AM. So about 5 hours, and 21 minutes. Amazing gaming experience for me.
I like to think on the timeline that this game happened eight times over on various intervals. I like the idea of the Party Cube being a Mushroom Kingdom tradition of throwing birthday parties. It's like it appears for Mario around the time of Super Mario Bros. 35, Peach within the vicinity of NSMBWii's times, or DK near the events of Tropical Freeze.
It’s crazy I never played past Mario Party 3 on Nintendo 64. Mario Party 2 was always my favorite! Especially the Halloween level 👻🎃 These were the best to play on sleepovers! That and Super Smash Bros Melee lol Gosh! Over 20 years ago! I just turned 36! This is a time warp! This gets my feel goods all charged 😉
I been watching your longplays of the previous MP games for nostalgia purposes,and so far id say this and 3 have the best minigames/maps so far with a few good maps in MP 2. Thank you for this.

This Playable Character is Lucy
I just won a bid for this on ebay for $70 thats how much this game goes for nowdays. I used to play MP4 constantly as a kid and lost it when I moved. Needed to get it back. Cannot wait to play it again after 15 years!

Remember when Mario Party had eyepopping graphics and text? The new Mario Party games (Especially Superstars and Super Mario Party) just have oversimplified text and they all look like they were ripped straight out of a modern iPhone. The 2000's really were better.

Didn't end up playing 4 until this year, but easily one of my favourite Mario Party games. Up there with 2 & 6 for me.
