In the Caribbean, mainly Trinidad and Tobago, we make soup every Saturday it's known to be like a soup day(a wash out day, after a week of eating the rice, chicken, junk, fast food, etc.). "I now finish drinking ah bowl of chicken soup"🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹.
I'm Chinese and we love eating chicken feet! We don't make soup out of it (or at least my family didn't) but it is one of my favorite dim sum dishes. Growing up in America I've heard a lot of people call it gross so I'm glad to see other cultures appreciate them like they should!
My mother loved chicken foot soup. She also made the best tasting one as well. If mokkos was half as good, I know you all enjoyed it. RIP mom. BTW chicken foot soups good for when your feeling under the weather.
I love chicken feet, I didnt grow up on it but I decided to make some when I got older. It's really delicious . I MISSED OUT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. MMMMMMM
I love Ras Kitchen so much! As a filmstudent I can tell you that Matthew really has found a gem. Ras Mokko is so real and raw, a perfect candidate to document as pure as possible!
@Ras Kitchen Pancer, you use your feet to make steps, thus footsteps, so feet are steppers (steppas). chicken has steppers (chicken steppers) and pig has trotters (pig trotters). You can ask for pig trotters when you are back in Jamaica.
I love this...I have been subbed for ages and I love the way Matthew has literally become part of the family over the years...Plus i love chicken foot!
Wow, the chicken foot soup looks mouth-watering yummy, nice seeing Ms. Doret she is always so calm, big u yourself Ratty, and Mathew, happy birthday Darius, thanks for sharing this video 👍💯.

We loved these in Jamaica as a kid; however when I came to America I didn’t mess around that kind of food. Then came the Bone Broth wave and we now know that chicken foot has the bomb collagen so I sometimes make a big pot of steppers with lots of organic goodies! So yummy! Bless up King Mokko Queen Dorett and Matty! I don’t like boil breadfruit at all.😐

I use chicken feet in the chicken broths I make at home here in Canada, gives the broth a super gelatinous texture after it's cooled down. Full of collagen!
@@Cahtame Basically chicken stock. I get raw chicken necks, backs, wing tips & feet and add them to a large pot with whatever vegetables or herbs. I usually use onion, thyme/rosemary but can use whatever or omit the extras. Bring to boil on stove and let it simmer from morning until evening and you have chicken broth. I believe the difference between stock and broth is stock is generally made only from the bones : )
Chicken soup for tha masses - I’ve eaten chicken feet before. I send to butcher chicken before I became a teenager back when I was a kid in tha motherland (I was between 8-10 years old).

I guess most of the chicken feet in the US are sold to the China market. When you can find them, they are often more expensive than other parts like legs and thighs🙄
No man if you go to the Latin or Jamaican grocers you will find them super cheap. On the other hand I went to an organic farmer’s market to get some and the price was ridiculous!
Chicken foot soup good for your soul but Curry chicken foot tek you straight to Heaven❗️First time I ate it they were calling it 'curry walk pon' 😂 Absolutely delightful!!!
I would like to come by the yard and make Biang-Biang noodles. Easy to make... just flour and water and a bunch of stretching! It would go great with chicken foot soup
Mokko did a great job with that soup. I pass on the feet but love the dumplings and breadfruit. Nice birthday dinner. Those two guys have been there for long time. Good extra income for Mokko. Love those green chameleons. River looks beautiful too. Glad you're feeding the dogs. Stay safe.
My mum has always eaten chicken feet, she just boiled it in onions and seasoning. You could not pay me to eat it. Then one day I watched the Jamaican videos when Mark Wiens came to Jamaica. Mathew, Mark and his crew got a cup of Chicken Feet Pumpkin Soup from a market, it looked so good that I decided to find the recipe. I found the recipe on UA-cam from "Morris Time Cooking," my mum and I really loved it. I have made Chicken Feet Pumpkin Soup a few times now. I think after watching this video, that I will let the chicken feet cook a few more hours, and next time I make my spinners, I will not use corn meal, just flour.
