What impresses me hugely is the quality of the dome drivers. i guess a great sound in the mid-high range should be the consequence. Imho the quality of drivers sets the very max obtainable from a speaker. The designer/builder can only reach that max of waste it. am i wrong ?
Been a long time since I saw a woofer with the cloth sealing. That was usually used in open back speakers to simulate the back pressure of a box in the olden days. Nice crossover too. They weren't shy with the stuffing either I see 😂😂😂 Shame they went over board with the tacky text all over the front but that was fashionable back then I guess.
Yeah I know these are old school, but as soon as I saw these I was expecting them to kick at least 100 - 150 watts. That 40 - 60 watts really surprised me. They wasted a good crossover too.
@@jogmas12 That's not what I'm referring to. I was implying that cheap speakers nowadays usually don't even use a crossover. Of course back in the day they all did.
DJActionVasquez are you calling the DALI Spector 2 for $299 a pair a cheap speaker? I’ll have to tell you if you consider them cheap they do use crossover network. My cheap Monitor Audio $299/pr which I bought for half price have cross over network.
It was all about being honest those days. One was getting what they were really paying for; unlike these days when most manufacturers are only interested in manipulating the numbers.

@@mikeyan7312 neodynium magnets are often smaller than ferrit magnets. But the size of the magnet doesn't tell you if a speaker sounds good or not. Important for the bass quality and the low border frequence is how the T & S parameters of the woofer match with the size of the cabinet of the speaker. Your opinion is: The magnet is too small, the speaker must sound like shit. But you never listened to it. I tell you, it does sound very well.
Very good quality components from an 'old school' company who knew how to do things right!
Great grundig box 650 pro...the Real audiophile loudspeaker...
Crossover is bigger than i was expected.
That crossover though ☺️
Extremely impressive crossover.
GRUNDIG EXCELLENT GERMAN SOUND!!!

Приятные обзоры...
Tecnologia diferente! Abafador, legal!
If I would put a crossover from Grundig Professional 650 in the Grundig Box 600, would the Grundig Box 600 sound close to Professional 650?
We need models like this on the stereo.
Супер колонки!
Muy interesante.

Well defined sound accoustics but crossover is of more bigger size than needed for such size of woofers,
Как вы посчитали размер?
Vixe aí é Alemanha !!!
der tieftöner stammt von heco weil grundig baute nur hoch und mitteltöner

It's there to keep the dampening material from getting into the woofer.
@@westelaudio943 yeah makes sense they really packed that damping stuff in there
I like this design more than the modern one

DJActionVasquez this is a 3 way speaker so the crossover has to be more sophisticated than say for a two way.

Mid and top drivers and crossover look quite reasonable quality, but the cabinet and bass unit look very poor. Curious combination.
Not poor, very good quality. 10kg each
@@TommasoOlivotti yes your are right.

Тот же вопрос. В чем идея видео. Все грюндиги тех времен набиты таким же войлоком...

Super high definition speaker with that small motor please i bet sound like shit ma bookshelf speakers have 2 times bigger motor
Not the size of the magnet is important but the combination of bass woofer and cabinet. This system is well engineered and sounds very good. No doubt.
