Not your best work.
@@PoppinWheeliez Not your best comment.
I LOVE that you fix veneer with veneer instead of bondo+sand and paint. Thank you!
I love how you keep in all the mistakes or unintended steps. I've learned far more from mistakes when I'm working on something than if everything went perfectly! Keep it up!
Me too!
Looks great! The person who donated this had no clue it was destined for some Dashner Magic. Having worked on a piece in a cold, MN garage, appreciate that your videos show realistic working environments to which many can relate. Most people who are redoing furniture, often make do with less-than-optimal conditions. They don't have a designated, spacious studio, nicely outfitted with special lighting, all the latest tools and supplies at the ready, as seen in a good number of YT vids.
Well said!
Good point. If he can work in his garage, I can work in mine, which is about 20 degrees warmer.
I've been watching you restore furniture now for some time. I'm so impressed with the work you do. I really like mid century furniture so I'm already partial to your selections. I'm so impressed with the fact that you work in/outside your garage in all weather and get incredible results. You make the furniture look new!!!!
Good to see your face after many months of watching your hands.
I love your clean work and straight forward presentation.
I love the sound of the birds in your videos! Susan from Canada
Thank you for rescuing orphaned furniture!
I live in southern Minnesota so when you say “warmish” I know you were talking about the mid-thirties we had the other week🤣🤣🤣
I really like seeing your face in the videos now. And that intro.
I think I like your quirky sense of humor.
Great work. The stop-motion stuff in the beginning freaked me out!
The birds were happy with the milder weather.
Awesome job! you remind me of a wood working Bob Ross.
The birds are really happy about your warmer weather.
Long time subscriber here, I have been enjoying your great workmanship and smooth, calm energy. It’s also nice to put a face to the voice 😊
Wow! Commode is a OLLLLDDD term for a small sideboard. Most people equate the word with a potty seat. It turned out so pretty. PS: It will be nice when warmer weather comes and we can see you without your hat! LOL
Your work and knowledge is inspiring. I look twice at some of the thrift store pieces that look like they need to be in the landfill, because I’ve seen what you can do. The work itself is a healing art.
Beautiful piece! Your videos are so peaceful, I just sit back, have tea and enjoy listening to you and the working sounds. Perfect for a Sunday evening
As always, beautiful. Touch of the Master! Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed!
The night stand looks great. Always look forward to a new episode. I understand where you're going with revealing the finished piece at the beginning. Please reconsider showing the finished piece at the end of your show. The not knowing until the end is the best and most exciting part.
Thank you
Gotta say, I love your face! Gorgeous work and calming narration. Another winner 🏆
Always amazing work. But those glitches at the beginning I appreciated the throw back. Or maybe that was just me ... or was it. Lol
Lovely job. I really like how you roll with the punches when things don’t go as planned. 😊
loving the new format you've been useing when making ur videos!
Yay you made an appearance!
9:36 "I kinda like red" ✨
love that you keep the warmth in all your restorations/pieces. It so nice to see some furniture with rich color.
Thank you for not adding music to your video. It’s nice hearing the work being done, the explanation and bird chatter in the background
Lovely update to this charming piece. And I so appreciate you mentioning that you might forget from time to time which sanding grit you last used on a piece...I thought I was the only person who did that 😂
What’s worked for me with stubborn marks is using wire wool to scrub the oxalic acid into the wood. Then do the normal wait. Then using wire wool with water to scrub/rinse the area
You gave this piece a new lease on life! The stain you chose I think it’s a wonderful color of stain as well. Great choice!
Thank you.
Great piece. I would buy a restored piece that had carved initials. It adds to its mystic and would have me wondering who was that person(s). Who knows, that might inspire me to write a little story about the person who did the carving.
As an aside…I enjoy your tone and temperament as you narrate your videos. There’s that undercurrent of not taking yourself so seriously. For me, it’s a welcoming ingredient. 🤭
the cut at the beginning is much appreciated, mr Lynch
I just refinished the top on our smaller kitchen table. The base is like a lighter stain and I do not have the talent to match it. So I used a Minwax Polyshade in black. When I got ready to seal it I grabbed my go to t shirt to cut a piece off for my poly coat. My husband said “aren’t you going to use a brush for that”. I said,”no, Dashner always uses a cloth and there are no bubbles… do not question his techniques”…. Then I did a kinda evil laugh, thinking about your guitar video. Piece came out perfect, of course…. Because I watch your videos.
Great job. It’s so good to see that you have times of trial and error. Beautiful work.
The fact that there were mistakes and mishaps and you showed us AND you fixed them and made it look awesome is why I subscribedto you, it looks so good and natural!! (even when you placed the stain before the shellac coating on the bottom it looked awesome)
What a beauty! Great job!
It looks nice. I like it.
So much better! This is gorgeous now. 💜
I was a little hesitant on this one because it was so wrecked but you turned it back into a beautiful piece.
We need merch t-shirts with your scraper and logo printed!
Im developing such a furniture restoration crush 😭
That is so beautiful.
I have watched most, maybe all, of your videos and love your restorations. I have always felt a comfort in your narrations, but just realized why that may be. Your voice always sounded so familiar to me. Now I think I know why. Your voice really reminds me of the narration to the movie Stand By Me. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us; I love it! 😊
What an improvement! Beautiful work!
I had the same problem with a dark ring so I made a paste with Barkeeper's Friend and it worked like a charm.
I'm glad you showing also your mistakes which we all sometimes do when refinishing. I learn a lot from you, well done and continue please 🙏
Nice piece of work Dashner.
bardzo dziękuję za doskonałą pracę, oglądnęłam wszystkie twoje filmy, zawsze z przyjemnością, a twoja twarz idealnie pasuje do ciepłego głosu!
Another beauty.---(Hope you stocked up on groceries for this epic storm. My Cousin lives there & that's what she did.)
I’m way too stoned for that intro lmao
Warmish weather. Like 33 maybe. Shorts and a tee shirt time 😂
I've been watching you from the beginning - and I don't think I've ever seen your face on camera until today. That's awesome!
Check out my last few videos.
You have missed several videos
Beautiful color!
Once again very pretty you are a professional just love when piece are redone with wood stain I don’t like when some people paint everything
Nice quality piece , excellent work , it could even be a tv stand 😊
It’s gorgeous, but, that’s what I expected from you. Appreciate that you just don’t give up! Thanks for sharing your expertise again.enjoyed!
Love the sound of the rain.
Intro by Max Headroom. Have you gotten more subscribers by showing your face?
Or has anybody jumped you in stores because you’re famous?
Beautiful!!
excellent color choice!!
Looks amazing! Thanks!
Hi David, it wasn't really your day but it all turned out lovely in the end. Another piece that I'd like in my home. BTW nice to see the man behind the voice. Thanks.
I've been watching for a while too. I like all your choices of furniture peices to bring back to life and how you accomplish that task.Thank you for posting
Great work again you make watching what you do enjoyable 👏🇦🇺
Brilliant result - yet another Triumph. Thanks for sharing your skills with us. Take care 🙂
Looks great! Oh, and the table looks nice as well.
I like that you saw it was looking a bit blotchy and went back and redid it, how many times I've seen UA-camrs just leave it, looks great! 😊👍
Nice job 🙌🏻
Great job of restoration on that Dixie N/S. When my Father and Mother gave me my mid-century custom walnut design 3 piece bedroom set, (many moons ago), my Father had a very thin layer of clear laminate put on the tops. You never really notice it and it was a smart idea. Over the years it still looks brand new. Father did know best! Again, nice job. Carol from California
I like it!
Did the first couple seconds glitch or is that just me? No biggie, just noticed!
I think he was having a bit of an issue figuring out what to say, and so to sound less like Spock he took out all the pauses.
❤
Glitch in the Matrix, ignore it they tweak the reality again.
I think he was messing with us.
@@DarkGT deja vu lol
That’s a classic piece! I have the tall boy in that style. Love it
Good job beautiful table have a nice day sir.❤
gorgeous work. I was surprised at how well you managed to get the woods to match; that veneer was so much darker to start with!
I'm glad to see your face in my notifications. I have to get some work done before I can watch. I will be looking forward to seeing it thus evening.
it is beautiful!
Looks fantastic! Great job.
Your work is always impressive😃👍
Thank you.
Beautiful job . It’s funny how the weather can be totally different in different parts of the world. It’s summertime here and very humid . Keep warm and safe from Australia 🇦🇺
WOW, what a transformation! Beautiful work, as always!
I had to resort to muriatic acid on oak. Worked like a charm. Be careful. The shellac is a good idea. The adhesive will stick better to a glossy surface.
Just beautiful! So much work, but the results are marvelous.
Good job once again! I like your end result.
Looks amazing! And thanks for showing the gel stain process.
Thanks for watching.
Yup it did , matrix messing up!
As usual, this is so wonderful to watch and it is a pleasure to see your face
Another excellent piece of work 👏👏👍
Great job! I had doubts about what you were going to achieve midway through the video, but, as always you pulled it together in the end.
it looks very nice...nice color. thanks for sharing your refinishing skills with us.
Loving the new channel logo!!
Hey nice work! Thank you. So I have seen people use toner spray to even out woods that don’t quite match. I think mowhawk brand has some. Angie at Transcend furniture gallery has good tips also on sanding and perfecting finishes.
It's simple and lovely. Nice job.
It turned out beautifully!!!❤❤❤
Lovely makeover!! You got me into this business 🙏🏻🙏🏻I just did a small 60s teak coffee table fix & flip! Love this side hustle 🙏🏻♥️ Keep it up!!
Wow it turned out beautiful!
beautiful! well done!👏
Nice how the shades are comparable
Stunning refinish!
It’s perfect if you ask me! ❤👏
