New subscriber Love your scooter trip. I have a Honda Helix. Haven’t done any overnight trips yet. But I’ve lived in my van for almost a year after a heartbreaking Divorce. and then a sailboat for a summer. In the past. Not now though. I like the idea of living as a minimalist and free. Work less and enjoy outdoors more. Thinking of moving to Nc coastal area this summer. Probably get a camper or another boat to live in. I’m really not interested in buying a house. Just a Cheap place to call home. I’m 57. And want the simplest life possible. No car no phone just me and the Beach Bicycle fishing pole. And a metal detector. When I retire. I’ve had it all and lost it more than once.tired of working myself to death for someone else. That wants more and more STUFF. And after years of working hard to Make them happy. Getting them up to speed. And suddenly I’m not good enough for them anymore. Looking forward to seeing future videos.
That is really tough. It seems more of us are really needing some solutions. I'm trying to simplify as well. It is amazing how little we need to live and be happy.
So true......What's funny is, how years ago if you lived in a vehicle or off grid. Many people thought of you as a loser, low life, possible weirdo, etc... Now it's considered "trendy" #VanLife & cool....I came close to going the off grid route years ago. But was dumb and didn't because I didn't want people to look at me like some weido hippy or loser....Plus solar back then was super expensive. With no low power electronics or appliances. Like LED lights, flat screens,etc...
@@extremebudget Any house with a lot/yard could be built like an earthship or dugout and cut it's heating & cooling bills by over 75% plus be able to survive tornados. Yet at the same time the government/building/zoning, laws prevents people from doing so 🤪
2024 should be a focus on foundations! You know! Like your $5,000 house foundation! 😊

What ever your future, it starts with a good Foundation, fix your house.
This will go in a slightly different direction than expected. I can't say it yet until some things are solidified. Don't worry it's comin. :)

I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm glad it is more common in a way. And we haven't seen the potential of the technology we already have.

@@michaelbrinks8089 I have looked into that actually. I that is true for a lot of places. I am looking for places that allow that type of building.
