Compositions by Jagjit Singh ji from the film, 'Sarbans Dani Guru Gobind Singh'

'Sarbans Dani Guru Gobind Singh' is a documentary film released in the year 1998 which was based on the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Wazir Khan and was filmed in the Ropar area, by 'Manghal' Singh Dhillon.
It was directed and produced by Ram Maheshwari (who directed the classic film 'Nanak Naam Jahaj Hai').
Before this film, Harpal Singh Tiwana had produced and directed a stage show 'Sirhind Di Deewar' and this film was conceptualized based on it.
Where 'Nanak Naam Jahaj Hai' film was planned to pay tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 500th Birth anniversary, 'Sarbans Dani Guru Gobind Singh' film was planned to release on the celebrations of 300th year of Khalsa Panth.
Sarbans Dani Guru Gobind Singh was the first Punjabi film to have a budget of one crore!
Dara Singh, Sonu Walia, Pankaj Dhir, Upasana Singh, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Kiran Juneja, Gufi Paintal, Deep Dhillon, Tina Ghai, Ram Mohan and more, played principal characters in the film.
Upasana Singh shares that she was happy being part of the film and calls it one of her best roles ever.
This film had some brilliant compositions by Jagjit Singh Ji and these were sung by Jagjit Singh ji and various other artists. But, today I am going to present the compositions which were sung by Jagjit Singh ji in this film and we would start with the composition based on the Punjabi Lok geet form 'Heer', which had a devotional form.
