  • Simple ideas that can add depth and interest to compact modular voices are great! And today we tackle on of those ideas: Paraphonic patching. It’s a simple idea, but it opens up a series of fun experiments and patches that can create unique sounds and textures.

Hello everyone! Going forward I plan to share a lot of 'generic' patching tips and ideas. But if you are interested in my module, you can find it here :) :

I like the addition of the beats. I don't think every example needs a beat, but to me music is always rhythm, harmony, and melody together. Having some 'synth sounds alone' and some more musical examples could be a great way to take this channel to the next level imo. Keep up the great work, I really learn a lot here and am grateful. Stay rad.

Hey, thanks for the comment! Really appreciate it :) I tend towards a similar believe! Think it's interesting to add some 'musical context' to at least a few patches. But thought maybe people like clean tips without to much rubble :) Cheers!

I think the block diagrams are amazing for comprehending a patch. This is one of the best eurorrack channels for learning modular. Keep up the good work! I agree with @hrrld regarding the beats.
On a side note - the overdriven sequence sounds like a floating points track at the end

Drums for context are fine by me, the 'obscure' patch reminded me of Porter Ricks, no bad thing! 🤘

Beautiful sounds coming out of this video. The beats with the keystep are just perfect.

GREAT video! (And the perc doesn’t bother me at all, since it’s already clear what’s going on.)

Great video, thanks a lot for all the tips. That band passed patch with delay around 5 mins is awesome!

The inclusion of BSP drums was a nice subtle mix. Liked the examples. Just acquired the final module (Abacus) that completes my system. Neutron + 6U 84hp + 6U 104hp, and though it has taken me several years, I am very happy. I pair this with a Microfreak as performer, midi and cv controller (audio is broken) and an MPC One for sampling, some cv, audio capture etc. Thankyou for all the inspiration you have given me. Congratulations of the ADDAC collaboration.

not quite sure about the necessity of having a beat layered on the exemples

I don’t agree, most of the time the “beat” shows the rythmic part of a melody. Especially with synced delays etc. it’s like a kick appearing in a techno song and suddenly the feel is completely different.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts guys! I know asking something like this will probably get different opinions from everyone, but I value to get the input :)

@@TheGamingBigT I understand what you mean but I prefer this channel to focus on sound design
