Rhett is an awesome guy. I met him when I was little. He was good friends with my dad back in the day. My dad passed away last year and Rhett was nice enough to send a letter to be read at his funeral. I’ll always be grateful for that 💯
That’s not surprising of Rhett to do that. Heath I grew up with Rhett and his brothers, I don’t see them much anymore but I speak to Mr Buzz whenever I’m home off the road. So many of Rhett’s songs are true to how we all grew up.

I only learned a few minutes ago that Rhett Akins is Thomas Rhett’s dad. I had no idea until I watched another UA-cam video. I was pleasantly surprised.
great interview, great artist and song writer, I have had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, So Happy for Thomas being humble like his dad.
I grew up on Rhett's stuff and love Thomas' stuff too, it's great to see them continuing country music.

We saw Rhett and Jamey Johnson in Lansing MI at a place called Temple Club. I think it was an old church. We had free tickets and i don't think there were 20 paid tickets. Not advertised at all. AWESOME SHOW! Probably 10 to 12 years ago. We got to talk with everyone and had a great time. Willie Nelson's grandson sang Angels flying too close to the ground. What an awesome night
