- Find out here when and how you should clean or replace the pre-filter, the filters and the quality sensor of your Philips Air Purifier.
When to clean the filters
The filters (A and B in the image above) are not washable nor vacuum cleanable. These filters need to be replaced. Please check your manual to see the replacement indications for your specific purifier model.
When to replace the filters
When the filters (A and B in the image above) become dirty, they need to be replaced.
Replace the multi-care filter, the activated carbon filter, and the HEPA filter when the respective indicators light up. Please check the user manual since every specific purifier will indicate this in a different way (e.g. some purifiers indicate this with a C7 indicator and other models indicate it with 2 ,3 or 4).
When to clean the air quality sensor
The air quality sensor (D in the image above) should be cleaned every two months.
Please, check the cleaning instructions for your specific Air Purifier in your user manual.
If you use your Philips Air Purifier in a dusty or high humidity environment, then please clean it more frequently.
When to clean the pre-filter
Your Philips Air Purifier’s pre-filter (C in the image shown above) is washable and should be cleaned every month to ensure its optimal functioning.
You should clean the pre-filter when F0 is displayed on your air purifier’s display.
To clean the pre-filter, please follow these steps:
Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the wall outlet.
Pull the bottom part of the panel (located at the front or at the back of your purifier, depending on your specific model) and remove it from the appliance (see image below).
Press the two clips down and pull the pre-filter towards you.
Wash the pre-filter under a running tap. If the pre-filter is very dirty, use a soft brush to brush away the dust.
Air dry the pre-filter until it is completely dry.

The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!

Philips clearly saying you can’t use vacuum cleaner to clean your filters , they advise you to use water to clean first filter when F0 appears and brush when you clean carbon filter when A3 appears
Does the count is reset to 100% at the app after cleaning when you press the timer to reset the count?
When you reset it will remove the cleaning sign from your machine. It should reset the count as well.
Thank you for the video. I have been using my device for 5 weeks now but noticed 3 days ago it's producing a sound even though it's turned off, however, plugged in. If I am using it with a sleeping mode I can hear it, before it was really silent.

For filter error F0 reset - hold the button with clock icon for 3 sec.

If you vacuum machine doesn’t have hepa filter, you basically omitted all hepa size particule in hepa filter to your house. Don’t use vacuum machine for that. Don’t clean hepa filter. Just clean pre filter .

Great video. Thank you very much. Quick question about F0 message. This is not for the roller filter cleaning process? I think normal air filters needs to be cleaned every week but when F0 appears then the roller filter used for humidifier need to be placed in water with white vinegar for 2 hours, then rinse, let it dry then put it back. Please correct me if I am wrong! :) thanks
Yeah depend on where you live but once a week or so if you have pets in the house then you should check it out often the idea is to make sure have clean filter 24/7

Don't follow the advice here. There are logos on the filter saying you cannot use a vacuum cleaner.
I haven't noticed a sticker saying that but if that's the case that's fine. If you have a filter that's dirty and you don't have a replacement, then I would and I have used a vacuum. What do you suggest to clean the filter if you don't have a replacement?
@@tinytick at 3:48, top right corner. Those logos clearly show to not vacuum cleaner them or rinse them with water. If you check the app or manual, it shows you how to clean them. I suppose you read and checked those already.
my carbon filter is dusty after cleaning the outer filter.should i vaccum it or leave it as it is until a3 signs appears which means i have to change the carbon filter to a new one.Will dust on the carbon filter affect the performance?
I’m no expert but I vacuum mine. Just be gentle. I believe if it doesn’t help to last longer it doesn’t make it worse either. Thick dust does affect the performance so ideally if you can vacuum it, it may save you buying a new one

Have you had an issue with Wi-Fi? After first configuration it worked fine, I could see all info in the app, but then accidently it stops connecting, so I can't remotely control the purifier.
I’ve personally never had a issues with it but I saw an a article the other day that said Philips purifier does lose the Wi-Fi signal I’m going to make videos about it soon.

Fill the water tank up. It does consume a lot of water. You may need to refill every other day.
