Amy is such an angel and dougo is full of great chats and always a pleasure to watch you both
Amy u r stunning….beautiful family
Amy, the outside of the homestead, the stone, the deck, and patio looks great! Doug, your insight on families, starting out tight, but as time gets away, we all spread out and lose contact. It happens to everyone, wishing the Larson Farms family a bountiful year!
Doug we are never tired of you two...you all are such a blessing
54 is young. The next 10 years will go so darn fast you wont even believe it!
I smiled today, thanks.
What only 54 years ! Lol lol
House is looking good.
Kids should have shoes on when outside.
Just cut the bottom branches off . Raise the canopie.
You guys are terrific, never get tired of you 2 ❤
What makes this channel so good is that you guys are so down to earth. I think you guys did a great job with Chet. Everybody does so good on the channels. I always look forward to the next video. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do. I love that even Chet calls his dad Dougo. Thanks guys.
I agree when I was young, 67 now, the families got together every year but in the last 25 years no one gets together anymore different generations don't feel the need I guess so sad.
Anyway love you folks I enjoy all your channels so entertaining and educational with the all new technologies in farming so interesting, Doug I have the same issues at my home things just don't get done in a timely manner don't feel alone!
Cause he gets stuck loads dougo
You can tell corn is in the ground. So much more relaxed.
Appreciate your videos Amy. It's funny yet interesting on how Doug approaches the camera. God bless you both.
Thank you! You too!
I love ur videos
Doug’s right, if they’re feeding on juniper/cedar foliage-you got a tough winter. Fire, what Doug loves so much, keeps them suppressed, and the prairies can compete.
I wish I could have neighbors like Doug and Amy . Yes , It’s easy to see why Chet is so confident and so sure of himself . I seem to remember a family get together when I was young but I think it was only that one time. Everyone seems to move away , a long way away.
You are the very BEST ‼️‼️
What a cute video
Amy, I love you and your channel soooo much. Shoutout to Dougo and Chet and 'Big Swede'! Love you guys and all farmers who work so hard to feed us all. God Bless and stay safe.
Thank you!
You your funny
I love it when both of do a video together!
Nice that you provide a food source for the deer to help them get through these really rough winters. What is Dougo going to hunt in the fall if you let the winter take the deer?
Good show
I love u guys❤great videos keep them up
Thank you and God bless you and your family
Thank You for your videos 😊
We never get tired of seeing you Doug and Amy. We’re glad to hear you guys had a big family reunion. Cool video. 👍❤️
U guys grow corn deer love put some out!
Amy you and Dougo are a lot of fun
You could try just removing the lower branches so you don't have to fight the deer. The trees will just looked " sculpted" or manicured. Might be worth a try before totally pulling them 😁
Thanks for sharing you have a awesome place 🌽🚜
Thanks Amy for sharing a little insight into the yard challenges, family fun and of course the deer troubles. I really enjoyed the "Yard Walk with Dougo" I smell a podcast soon :)
True story on family reunions 20 25 yrs ago everyone got together for everthing ,now everyone has gone in different direction .Great video
Great video as always! If the state and federal wildlife agencies were smart they would pay farmers to plant food for the animals. A few hundred acres of corn left in the fields would go a long way. But that makes sense so it probably won't happen. Where I used to live in Louisiana the wealthy people fed the deer in their deer lease with corn dropped from a special made crop duster. All the deer left our area and moved to theirs. Surely the state agencies could do something similar.
Love your videos Amy. Doug and you are so lovely, loving, Christian and wholesome couple, Doug really does underestimate how good he is at videos. He is funny and informative every time. I learn so much from him.
You guys make great videos!!
Love a family get together ❤️. We just had a party for my Dad's 90th birthday. He is the first male on my Dad's side of the family to make 90. He has out lived his five brothers.
Love your videos. 😊❤
I really like these video's of the two of you, and what doug was saying by you know, is probably hoping nothing to personal or embarrassing comes out lol. To have a grandmother left is a gift, and i would be asking her everything i could about her life growing up, and how thing's were done. At 52, my parent's, grandparents, and the uncle from my maternal side has passed on, and my fraternal aunt has passed away as well. I have a cousin i haven't seen in year's, because he got lured in to scientology which i hate. Family is such a blessing, and when they are gone, the world just seems so much smaller. I am thankful that my mom did a series of interviews with my grandma before she passed away, and it talks a lot about her life as a child. My mom passing in 2016 was so crazy, but she died in 4 day's from the diagnosis at the er of cancer. She said there was never any pain, but her liver was full of lesions spread from somewhere else, so we don't even know what kind it was. One day i will tell you how it ended, and the thing's the Lord blessed me with. G-D bless.
Such good content, you are two very special people. Thank you.
I planted 7 3foot pine trees n the deer ate em to the ground.never sick of you guys.dougo makes me laugh.
Life is so precious enjoy the moments I remember those days because after that point life will never be the same try to do a yearly event
U have a very nice place good luck with Land scrapping I'm sure it will look nice❤
You guys are great:)
Keep up the videos Amy!
We will!
Awesome to watch you both. Love your house
Doug and Amy i really like the place you have there. its nice. i Live in Sweden. i also flow the the work you people do on the Larsonfarm. i grow upp on a farm and work on a farm in Sweden🥰❤❤
Cement truck washout here in Ca. the same. They can be real jerks. The dumped into my horesehoe pit and destroyed it.. You have to make them dump in the same place every time~!
You two are so fun, and you make a great couple
If there are stones in the mix it’s concrete. Cement is the fine grey dust like material that holds the sand, rock mix together. Once to water is added there is a chemical reaction that only goes one way. The pile looks like mortar, sand cement mix used the lay bricks or stones.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍🏻
I love these talks and walk about! I just learn so much in a short amount of time!!! It is saddening that family doesn’t gather like we use too! But as Mr. Dougo says… Well you know! Never fear Mr. Dougo will have that dirt gone and ready for the curbing! Sending blessings to you and Mr. Dougo!
He will get it done. Mr. Excavator
Dougo, you are a fountain of truth & such a hard worker. No one noticed the cement block but you and Amy. It made your Grandma's heart happy to see the family (as well as your Mom & her sister's). Bless your heart!
Love your videos your family is great and entertaining
Agreed you 2 are so down to earth always fun to watch god bless
"Nice video" I didn't know deer damages ,,, cause's Cedar trees too go dormant on the lower limbs "marv"
@ 8:00 Put out some feed for the needy travelers.
Could it safe the trees?
I worked for a concrete company and made the mistake of calling it cement. I was educated that cement is the powder ingredient of the concrete that binds the mixture together, so concrete is the final product that comes out of the mixer, and cement is an ingredient. Not that it really matters, but you asked. Lol
great video amy dougo is a charactre but hes a legend
It happened the same with our family. We used to get together all the time. Then not so much. Then you start losing family members & you think maybe we need to get together more often. So we try to get together more often. You guys are great on camera. Love the videos.
Thanks for the yard tour ❤️🤓
Always a great video Amy😊
hey guys tell you something that works most of the time onion with hair in it hanging around the trees or just hanging from a yard hook close to your plants the sent of people does scare them off god bless
Our family has done the same in the last twenty years!
thanks for the video Amy and dougo
What if you trim off the low branches, the ones the deer can reach? then you have wind break, and shade. Plus you can walk under the trees then, like a park or mature forest. Just an idea. Yes landscaping is a never end job. We have cut down trees, planted a different type, 20 years later, removed those too. Things change, I hope you can get it the way you want it. Until you decide you need a change! lol
God bless
Hi! How is the dead fish situation in the lake?
Dougo u r blessed with the family god blessed u with ! Good job u an ur miss done! God bless all farmers!
Thank you for the show
Thank yall for sharing.
You have spray for thistle 😅
This is the struggle. The wife of the farmer.
I have grown up that shoes have been optional and ran around without and still don't wear them very often outside during the summer
Cayenne pepper sprinkled on the hostas will stop the deer. Also hanging strips of aluminum foil like 2-3 inches wide and 2 ft long in bunches of 5 or 6 that will blow and catch the light will scare them away. I put mine up and left them for a month. Deer decide to find another route to travel . Nature is so much fun- isnt it? Lol
Love to watch you all
LOVEIN IT
Could you trim the bottom branches off and keep them? But I guess you said you’re tired of them.
Have you noticed all the pelicans in the creeks out past the public landing for lake artichoke?i was riding motorcyle out that way saturday dodging the rain
Love these videos of you two.
on you evergreens you should wrap them it winter burn! the winter can dry out the bottom
Amy and Doug you two are beautiful. Thank you for opening another channel up. Love to see what they mom does you got a great sons. And your run a very very strong firm with your family blessings to you all have a good night good morning I should say, peace to you and your family don't stop the I enjoy them. Daily, your family is a strong as Farmers I've ever seen on UA-cam and that's why I love this. I follow Chet in his adventures, and I respect the hard work that goes into putting these videos out thank you so much.. Tim up north in New York. Old school boy
It happens in the city you paid for it. Lol
If the cement plant is close the take it back and make blocks for retaning walls 🧱
Time to Is trim up the trees.
Be careful peeling the ground back around the foundation of your house that you dont shallow out the waterline coming from the well to the house and having it freeze next winter.....
Have you tried hanging bars of the the most nasty, chemical smelling soap in the trees to repel the deer? That has kept them out of my wind break evergreens. I learned this from Christmas tree farms.
thats the way it always is there are 42 first cousins on my moms side my gramma had 42 grand children and it was fun when we were all still at home gathering at her house and now 60 yrs later everyone is a stranger seems
Hostas are like candy to deer around here.
Indeed.
Deer damage is something we have in Hungary to . We cut the lower limbs off
We also live outside town and we have several cement and sand places in our garden left behind after construction.
So Minnesota or Hungary doesn’t make a difference
Good to know.
I really like Doug "saying if you know, then you know. " I get it about 45% of the time. Thanks for sharing. Happy subscriber 😊!
Good to spend time with you. Thank You.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Glad you hosted a family reunion at your place. How wonderful. Seems now days we do not do enough of that. When I was young we did like Doug said you had a get together for almost anything. Like you both said the family gets so spread out and makes it hard to get together.
My compliments to you both for doing this. Is important for the family to get together every so often.
Now trees. Yes, deer are very destructive to trees and plants. They are destroy trees just like the ones you showed us. Terrible. With the hard winter they are looking for food. Almost no way to stop them.
Really enjoyed Doug and Amy talking and showing us around. I have great respect for you both and the way you work with your family and the way you Farm. Thanks again for having the family reunion. That is really important to get together b
Thanks Doug and Amy for everything and this video. Was most enjoyable.
All for now. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
We used to get together every Sunday for lunch at my grandparents, now its spread out alot longer, it sucks but life gets in the way
It doesn't have to Bill, make family a priority :)
@theda850two I go up and take my dad to breakfast every Saturday, it's the extended family that is hard to get together
Those cedars will come back and be nice again. Remember winter snow how deep
It was. They had to eat something. Ya should have put put some big hay bales
Liquid fence works great as a deer repellent on hostas
Nice job Amy maybe you could show us around the area.
Doug try to use miracid, those trees and pines love it.
After watching Chet’s videos- I just assumed Doug was the younger brother… 😁
That’s funny 😂
You are lucky. My husband is so forgetful he forgot to pick me up twice while we were driving together to our jobs. He remembered me when he got home and I waited (patiently?) for him to get me. This was before cell phones. We each have to be content with what we have. We have made it almost 45 years now. I enjoy watching you two. Thanks for the tour and take care.
Dougo i know what you mean on family to all four winds
I agree with dougo a man’s feet are not to be seen or touched.
You two are amazing God bless you both
Your house ever getting finished dougo 😂 rip um out junk junk
Junk! 👍
Looks like u need rain yard brown
