My family and friends played this yesterday. Used individual soaped tarps heading into the pools, and each oerson had to have a bottle or can of a liquid in their hand to run to the bases. It was hilarious to watch. Great outdoor activity
this looks like TONS of fun! most of the time when our family gets together we do volleyball! we gotta do this sometime! i'm 43 right now i don't know how many more years i got of feeling young and active! LOL
Hey everyone, after receiving a ton of questions about our kickball field we decided to make a tutorial video of how to play/what we used/how we built it. Check it out!
At the start of this video, in the upper right corner there is an 'i" click on that. Or click on our channel name, then click on playlists, then click on 'Awesome DIY projects"
NothingTo DoCrew It went great! It was really fun, we used kiddie pools as the bases, tarps as the baselines and they set up a sprinkler in the middle where the pitcher was.
Cool... Suggestion....next time just do the slip n slide material on the 2nd half of the way to each base (leave grass on the 1st) so you can take a couple good steps and then dive/slide to the base. Looked like people were struggling to not fall on their arse. Safer and more fun, that never happens!
kcurtisvt One of the main reasons we ran it the whole length was so we could put the slip and slides under the pools to help stop it from blowing away/coming un-staked.Also, we had carpet underneath the slip and slide, so even when we fell it didn't hurt.
Almost at 2 million views!! That is insane. When I first came up with the idea i was sitting at a bonfire and overheard a group of kids complaining to their dad that the kickball field was all muddy and everyone was slipping. Then the lightbulb went off and i went home, started building, and called a few friends over. Next thing i know t's on the from page of reddit, on my local news, there is big you tubersmaking videos of it, there is tv shows in china/germany showing it, and somebody even made a slip and slide kickball toy (though it sucks, so i wouldn't recommend it)
That’s funny, I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years! I wish I could have made a hundred more videos like this one, but most of my friends weren’t really into the whole UA-cam thing (they said filming it takes the fun out of it)
love this !! We are doin it sunday afternoon, thanks for the idea !! We are gonna put body paint in one of the pools ! Video coming !! I was gonna put baby oil on the basepaths but looked running was a challenge anyway with just water? We are 25-30 north of Cincinnati
+darrell fitzwater sweet, your about 2 hours from here. Baby oil doesn't work as well as you'd think.. Laundry detergent is so far the best. We tried filling the pools with shaving cream/ flour/ and a few other things, but they didn't hold up. i bet body paint would work well!
+NothingTo DoCrew I recently went to the beach inspired in part by this video, we attempted to make a slip n slide on the beach just because. I have the video on my channel if you care to look at it lol, it was a fun experience !
Tyler Frump we got the circle ones from walmart, they were like 5-8$ (and they were surprisingly durable). The rectangle one we got at a garage sale a long time ago but they sell a similar one at walmart for 20$
Luke Thompson . Yea, definitely makes a huge difference. It's only a two axis, i decided to go cheap to see how i liked the auto stabilizer thing befor i pony'd up for the 3 axis
Brent Milner We used laundry detergent from the dollar store and it was super slippery. Some people told me i should use baby products to be on the safe side but we didn't have any issues with people getting it in their eyes
+Pieta Thao Find us on facebook and come be in one of our videos..Right now we are shooting most of our vid in our hometown (southeast mi), but eventually we hope to start traveling to shoot our videos
Hey what did you use to make the "slip and slides" I'm throwing my birthday party and I'm planning on doing this with a lot of people so I'm just trying to get all of the materials I need, thanks!
Check out the "how to video" we made (link in the description), it has the material lists, the rules (that we found to work best), and some do's and don't
+PierreKiwiz awww thanks! Hopefully my videos will keep entertaining you. We are filming our biggest (and funnest) video ever this Sunday. So in about 2 weeks (since im slow at editing) we will put out our best video yet!
+sharktartmangame B you would be surprised, that ball wouldn't travel far no matter how hard you kicked it.. if it was a traditional ball, it would have been long gone
William Bradshaw No it was actually drop cloth (for painting), it's more durable, cheaper, and just as slippery. The 3x50 rolls are about 4$ each. I also put strips of carpet underneath to make the diving a bit softer (and to cover up any sticks on the ground).
+Olivia Smith That is awesome, those kids are going to have so much fun! We didn't have any issues with the pools moving on us (and some of us are pretty big guys). Once you fill the pools up with water that will keep them in place, even when the pools got a little empty they still stayed in place and they were really cheap pools. If you have any questions, check out our tutorial video on how we built it and we also explain how we played it.! Feel free to comment if there's anything else you want to know!
+Omar Attia check out our how to video. they are 50-60 feet apart. we used shutter pegs, but any kind of stake will work. make sure you put the pools ontop of the ends (this significantly helps keep them down)
how did you video tape it please reply back we are doing a daycare campout and decided to do this i have a regular camera but not a gopro please help!!!
So not only am I super bummed that it's winter and I can't do this but I'm obsessed with this song and I can't find it, not even Shazam can help me. I looked on epidemicsound.com and...I don't even know where to start. Can you please let me know the name?
+Adrienne Matranga It is on epidemic, try searching "like u like that". Here's the info Like U Like That - 2010s Pop, Happy - Composer: Elias Naslin, Artist: Lucy
I used 4. Check out the diy video (link in the description). It explains what materials i used and where to get everything. I filmed this like 4 years ago and over the years not much has changed. Lay down some carpet or cardboard (so you arent running on top of sticks), add your tarps, and fill up some pools. Keep a few buckets of water or a hose near first base because that one tends to get a lot of water splashed out
Nino Guns it's called drop cloth (used for painting). I used 3x50ft rolls i got at home depot, its better then slip and slides because it is more durable and more slippery. (The brand i got was HDX and it was like 5$ per roll). A side note--We had old carpet strips underneath to make it a bit softer while diving
+kimmie kyees Sweet! I set up again yesterday, it was even more fun now that we knew what we were doing. I recorded us setting up the course and am going to do a quick video about it . Make sure to put some cardboard or old carpet strips down so when you dive it doesn't hurt.
grab like 12 friends, have them each throw in 10$ and you can build one! Just saw some pretty cheap pools at 5below yesterday (and they have a kickball there). Tarps at walmart (or home depot)

+NothingTo DoCrew can you tell me the name of the song?
NothingTo DoCrew It went great! It was really fun, we used kiddie pools as the bases, tarps as the baselines and they set up a sprinkler in the middle where the pitcher was.
+Emoree Lynn that sounds awesome

That’s funny, I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years! I wish I could have made a hundred more videos like this one, but most of my friends weren’t really into the whole UA-cam thing (they said filming it takes the fun out of it)

+Bro Up Dude Thanks!! We have a new video coming out in about a week or two. Im not very good at editing so it takes me a while to make these things
+NothingTo DoCrew its ok the music fits well
I have played kick ball and slip in slide but never thought of combining them.
I agree. I love playing kickball and I love slip and slides. But when I found this video now I can combined them.
Nice kick ball I play that game in my school
I like this song & this video is funny um did you shoot this with a GoPRO camera! it was pretty great & fun to watch!
Yea, I filmed with a go pro 3+ black and gopro4 silver
wow that is fun☺😊😀😁😆😄
What did you use for the arches over the base paths leading to the pools?
This calls for soccer on a huge slip n slide field.
That would be awesome! Or maybe some slip and slide dodgeball
Yeeeesss even better!!
good idea
slip n slide sack races with plastic bags as the sacks ?
+NothingTo DoCrew I recently went to the beach inspired in part by this video, we attempted to make a slip n slide on the beach just because. I have the video on my channel if you care to look at it lol, it was a fun experience !
Awesome! Where did you buy the pools and how much were they???
Tyler Frump we got the circle ones from walmart, they were like 5-8$ (and they were surprisingly durable). The rectangle one we got at a garage sale a long time ago but they sell a similar one at walmart for 20$
just awesome!!
Omg class video
ME TO THAT LOOK SO MUCH FUN
i wish i could play kickball like that

Mom made is safe 😂😂❤
Such a sick video! That gimbal makes a huge difference! It's only two axis though right?
Luke Thompson . Yea, definitely makes a huge difference. It's only a two axis, i decided to go cheap to see how i liked the auto stabilizer thing befor i pony'd up for the 3 axis
Did you guys add anything to the drop cloth to make it more slippery? Or did you just use water?
Brent Milner We used laundry detergent from the dollar store and it was super slippery. Some people told me i should use baby products to be on the safe side but we didn't have any issues with people getting it in their eyes
I wanna be your friend lmfao! You guys have so much fun!
+Pieta Thao Find us on facebook and come be in one of our videos..Right now we are shooting most of our vid in our hometown (southeast mi), but eventually we hope to start traveling to shoot our videos

NothingTo DoCrew
super cool!
What material did you use for the slip and slides? Im trying to do this for myself and some friends
Willy Mammoth 3X50ft rolls of drop cloth (in the painting section of most stores)
awesome
Soooo cool
I want to do this looks so fun
We are using Tractor intertubes, and tarps.
+Bobby Smith really I wish I was in that video because I can kick the ball into the woods
Tarps work well, we have used them in the past. They aren't as slippery but they are more durable
+sharktartmangame B you would be surprised, that ball wouldn't travel far no matter how hard you kicked it.. if it was a traditional ball, it would have been long gone
i love the vidoe
Are those slip and slides like plastic tarps or like plastic wrap or actually slip and slides?
William Bradshaw No it was actually drop cloth (for painting), it's more durable, cheaper, and just as slippery. The 3x50 rolls are about 4$ each. I also put strips of carpet underneath to make the diving a bit softer (and to cover up any sticks on the ground).
How on earth did you get the pools not to move?? Would like to do this with my Youth Group.
How far are the bases apart and what did u use to keep them pin to the ground ?
+Omar Attia check out our how to video. they are 50-60 feet apart. we used shutter pegs, but any kind of stake will work. make sure you put the pools ontop of the ends (this significantly helps keep them down)
Hey! Where did yall buy the rings/hoops at?? We are planning one next month! I cant the little "i"
Like the hoops by 3rd base? Those are just some dollar store pool noodles with a metal yard rod through
Great! I figured i just didnt know how you made it so big for home plate! Thanks so much!!
home plate was just two noodles and two rods taped together (oh the mighty power of duct tape)
Awesome! Thank you im so excited!
how did you video tape it please reply back we are doing a daycare campout and decided to do this i have a regular camera but not a gopro please help!!!
+Maggie McDonald -- you can use a regular camera to film (or even cell phones)
So not only am I super bummed that it's winter and I can't do this but I'm obsessed with this song and I can't find it, not even Shazam can help me. I looked on epidemicsound.com and...I don't even know where to start. Can you please let me know the name?

Where do you get the slides
How many of the plastic dry clothes did you use?
I used 4. Check out the diy video (link in the description). It explains what materials i used and where to get everything. I filmed this like 4 years ago and over the years not much has changed. Lay down some carpet or cardboard (so you arent running on top of sticks), add your tarps, and fill up some pools. Keep a few buckets of water or a hose near first base because that one tends to get a lot of water splashed out
great game
Mega Zap-Tube Thanks.. Another variation is to put beer at second base and you have to drink a certain amount before you can go to 3rd
Lol
awsome
Love the song. Who is the artist?
Like U Like That - 2010s Pop, Happy - Composer: Elias Naslin, Artist: Lucy
this so fun
What's used as the slip n slide part?? T.I.A
Nino Guns it's called drop cloth (used for painting). I used 3x50ft rolls i got at home depot, its better then slip and slides because it is more durable and more slippery. (The brand i got was HDX and it was like 5$ per roll). A side note--We had old carpet strips underneath to make it a bit softer while diving
NothingTo DoCrew sweet & did you use anything to keep it down?
Yea, I put the pools down on top which helped hold down the ends and i used about 6 plastic pegs per baseline
That is so cool 😀😀😀😀😂😂😂😂
It's funny when they slip and fall.
+Sophie Cage there was a lot more of that happening then we put in the video. Those tarps were slick!
Did you do this at a park if so how'd u get the water
Philip Ross in my backyard, but you could do it at a park. Just use a few buckets or hoses to transport the water
what did yall use for the slip and slide part?
+Laken Newton check out our DIY slip and slide kickball tutorial for what we used
I WISH I COULD DO THAT IN MY BACK YARD
+Joel Freed You could try doing it at the park
That was funny

+kimmie kyees Sweet! I set up again yesterday, it was even more fun now that we knew what we were doing. I recorded us setting up the course and am going to do a quick video about it . Make sure to put some cardboard or old carpet strips down so when you dive it doesn't hurt.

It's called: "Like U like that" Composer: Elias Naslin, Artist: Lucy
Omaigad
c est cool
what was the stuff u used to run on ???
Check out the DIY video we made, it has some pictures of what we used
You should put soap on the ball so its more slippery to catch!
+Steven Carver it doesn't take long before the ball gets covered in soap from rolling across the ground...eventually everything gets slippery
Damn. I wanna do tht
Shout out to you youtuber
Thanks!
1:25 safe by a toe!!!
😟 I am so jealous right now😡😡
grab like 12 friends, have them each throw in 10$ and you can build one! Just saw some pretty cheap pools at 5below yesterday (and they have a kickball there). Tarps at walmart (or home depot)
