I absolutely love this channel & I was wondering if u could possibly do a choreo to a BTS song? They just came out with Waste It On Me with Steve Aoki. But it may be a little difficult to do a choreo to that song. If so maybe an older release would be easier like Base Line, Mic Drop, Boy Meets Evil.

🚨ALERT🚨 I’m going to talk a lot about dancing (sorta personal ig) , blah blah blah.. Plz skip my comment if you want‼️
When I was younger my mom signed me up for like dance (ballet, tap dance, etc.) She also signed me up for sports, too. I guess my mom liked sports more because 1. She played sports when she was younger & 2. I guess I didn’t like dance ;-; idk...
So anyways.. I quit from dance and started doing sports (which I’m still in btw). I didn’t like it (running👀) but I eventually gravitated towards it too.
I’m in middle school and then outta no where BTS starts blowing up. I didn’t really care much, because I didn’t know Kpop was a thing, I mostly listened to rap, was busy with sports, and other reasons ;-;. But I had 2 “friends” that like BTS for a while now. They told me all about them and I was like “oh cool”. The school year ends and it’s now summer break🤩
-FAST FORWARD TO END OF SUMMER BREAK-
There was about, I’d say 4 weeks left before school started T.T and I was cleaning my room one day and a familiar song played (DNA). I was like “I’ve heard this song before “ and when I checked it, it was BTS.
So I went on their page and started listening to all their music from that day on. I became an ARMY and I was proud. But, as time went on I started to watch more MV’s and liked all their choreo. So before I got picked up by the bus I ALWAYS listens to 2 certain songs of theirs and “danced” to some of their choreo. I mostly remembered the main parts xD.
I didn’t tell people I liked them though because I didn’t want people to be like “oh you like those Ching-Chong guys” ; “you cant even understand them”. So I kept it a secret for like the first 1-2 weeks of school. Then I eventually told one of the “friends” I mentioned earlier and she was so excited (she screamed in excitement xD ). Then I finally told the other “friend” too. I was nervous to tell her because the year before I promised her I wouldn’t like BTS or “steal” them away from her (reasons 🤦🏽♀️). But, I did and she was excited also, we started hanging out a lot from that day on.
She invited me over for a sleep over at her house and I said “yea”. We were hanging out and all of a sudden she was like “OMG WE SHOULD LEARN THE GOGO DANCE” and me being dumb was like “sure!”. I didn’t know it was a BTS song because I never came across it, hehe..😅 She kept bugging me to learn it and I did.. sorta..
Then that’s when I started liking dance again but never realized it at first. After learning the choreo she “went off on her own” and started learning like 2 other dances w/o me. I didn’t care because I once again was still busy with sports and wouldn’t have time for it anyways.
But as time went by I slowly started learning main dances again and danced to their songs (making up choreo hear and there).
Now this is the part where I was really into dance again. I like watching videos on YT and watching BTS choreo. I really wanted to quit or at least take a break on sports just to see how I like it. I obviously needed some other things to do , to keep my busy and away from doing chores, hehe. So I decided to take a break from sports , learn to dance, continue taking piano lessons, practice Korean, and work on my study’s.
I thought it was a good choice because although sports are fun there’s also downfalls to it. Ex: Injuries- which I didn’t care much for (I have a high pain tolerance) ; Take up A LOT OF TIME- I play basketball for my school and have practice in the mornings before school everyday and I would have softball after school on Monday’s and Wednesday’s, and in the end result i wouldn’t have time to do my homework, study, etc. and I get bad grades T.T ( not really good in balancing things out ;() Takes up A TON OF MONEY- my school basketball has a “pay-to-play” and you have to pay I think $100, it goes to the jerseys and to pay for games and refs. And softball is wack fr! You gotta pay for jerseys, helmets, bats, bags, gear, etc. Plus you also gotta pay to go to tournaments and that eats up a lot of money too!
Dancing wouldn’t need a ton of money (or none if I learn from home), my piano lessons are free, I already teach myself Korean, and studying and doing homework would be easier to do because I actually would have the time.
My mom sees me dancing and making my own choreo to songs , but she doesn’t want me to quit because she payed for everything already 🤧 I tried to stop her from buying the new uniform for softball but it was too late ;(. So know I gotta wait it out till the seasons over T.T
I think dancing is something that I could really do not just as a hobby but like a career. My mom doesn’t think so though, she only thinks you could get scholarships if you play sports :/. I’ll still do it anyways hehe 😏
But what I guess I was trying to say is thanking BTS for helping me learn what I want to do in the future. Dancing will always be apart of me!🤗
(Okay so this might be cringe to ppl & I think it is too, BUT it’s just something I needed to get off my chest w/o talking to my mom about it🤷🏽♀️)
