I've been saying it for years, Hitomi is the best beginner character. She's so balanced. Her 46P is so cool too. Momiji though, she's my main for a reason. 5H+k is a good "back up b*tch" move and her 1P is my favorite in the game. She's basically a watered down Hayabusa, but she's not a ninja. Maybe a light intro into ninja characters so good for beginners. But she's not a ninja, she's a Dragon Shrine Maiden from a ninja village and trained/trains with a ninja but she's a humble shrine maiden. And she's the best character in the game. I literally got into doa in part because I found out she was a playable character, I discovered her playing NG-S2, its awesome that they incorporated her naginata attack(idk what it's called in NG) the 214P+K move(also a good move, tracking mid that guard breaks, so good). I just realized I haven't played doa in a few months, gonna change that lol. Sorry for the somewhat long comment
Hitomi is the kind of character I gravitated toward really early. Rock solid gameplay, beautiful animations, karate. Her fundamentals are awesome. The kind of character that made me appreciate 3D fighting game and that grow with you as you are gaining skills (it is a title she is sharing with Xianghua from SoulCal). Cool to see you XD
Your videos helped immensely in getting me more hardcore into DoA, nice work! Any chance we’ll ever see some DoA4 videos? I do still see players online
been forever, but i just played ayane cuz i liked her character, and having back flips made it easy to avoid the upkicks, that get all beginners.. i feel like doa is a game you can pbly just learn the fundamentals with anyone, and pick random and do ok, even if you dont know the optimal combos, and some other stuff. movement, adapting to opponents, mindgames, fundamentals like using up kicks, etc seem almost the same with anyone. There weren't any extremely hard to play characters I can recall, but I never really learned the game super in depth, and do a lot of labbing to play super competitively. grappling combos are kind of hard with ryu, hayate, and grapplers, but probably become easy, if you play them and use them enough
Aha. I figure that Hitomi would be a point of reference. This is a very good in-depth video on exactly what approach to take. Jann Lee is THE perfect character for beginners as well, as far as getting used to the game is concerned. Each of these choices make sense, especially in retrospect. Excellent video once again. Honestly, It's kind of Ironic that you mention Hitomi and Helena as those are the two characters, I just found I like to play. Why Helena is a bit more trickery to learn to play I still like her for her character and design, but I will probably play Hitomi first after getting a better understanding of the game and then move try learning Helena with having Hitomi as a solid back up and reliable.
Playing both Helena & Hitomi is a good idea. Helena is high-crush trickery and stun-based shenanigans, and Hitomi is straight up fundamentals and mix-ups.
@@ForceofNature99 Best of both worlds. Sounds good to me. Honestly for me at least If I like a character in a fighting game be their design, play style or whatever I will want to learn even if being harder then others as it I'll want me to put more time into the game but again there's nothing wrong with learning fundamentals. At least that's my philosophy.
@SMRT F.O.N. Thanks for this man I think Hitomi is a great character that isn’t too complex so I can focus on learning the gameplay and damn girl those jiggly knockers aren’t too bad either visually speaking so, yeah definitely playing her and I like her fighting style as well.
Thanks, so far it’s been a happy new year, whether or not it remains that way is debatable but I certainly hope so seeing as we are only about 2 weeks into it at this point but, if you play on Xbox I’d love to get some games in
I began with Mariposa to switch with Mila as a main. Mila isn't very difficult I think : easy +frame jabs, good "delays", mounts. She can play both light grappler and rushdown (that's how I play her)... Hitomi is perfect to learn the basis tho
Mila is a great starter character. Nice straightforward gameplay, grappler sensitivities along with advanced tech to keep you interested in the long run.

No one talks about this game. How will I ever learn this game? Thank you so much for trying to keep this rather alive than dead.
If you have the time, PLEASE make DoA5 videos as well !

Momiji can double jump and emit fire, she's a ninja 😛! But yeah, everything about Hitomi is great for 3D fighter fundamentals. Minimal gimmicks.
Thx for the vids they've help out a ton been trying to start a local scene got a few peeps playing
Nice! Glad to hear that!

😉
Started off with NiCO now I'm rolling with Momiji and I'm loving every second of it but I don't mind relearning NiCO
Both NiCO and Momiji are great. Momiji is a ton of fun to play with!
Your videos helped immensely in getting me more hardcore into DoA, nice work! Any chance we’ll ever see some DoA4 videos? I do still see players online
You're welcome. Likely not. I predominantly play DOA6 & DOA5LR.
Good work!! Thanks for another good video!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!

I’d say Hitomi, Tina & Kasumi are all good beginner characters for DOA5LR & 6. Great video 🤗
For sure! Good balance of characters there! Thanks for watching!
Awesome guide for newcomers to the game
I main Kasumi on day one since I bought the game :D
Kasumi is a great choice! 👍
Hitomi is awesome
Yes she is! 😍
Back when I first tried to learn doa I picked hitomi after a few days my dumbass went straight to Christi and Kasumi this was back during DoA4
Nooo... You got it backwards haha. Kasumi's a lot easier in DOA6 at least though.
Aha.
I figure that Hitomi would be a point of reference.

Starter is Momiji. DOA REBOOT Lets Go!!!

Momiji forever☺ DOA reboot LET'S GO!!!
😉
Starter is Christie,I love this character. I want to see DOA and Ninja Gaiden reboot after Rise of the Ronin .
I like this game....👍👍
It's a great game! 👍
Is DoA6 worth going for? Over DoA5? Have a feeling 5 was better
Try both. DOA6 is better than DOA5 vanilla, though DOA5LR has more overall content.
Do you play doa5? (My favorite doa game and in my opinion the best) and if so you should make some vids on it.
Oh. Very solid fighting game!!! But company policy just destroyed it. Very sad
Hopefully KT handles the reboot better in the future (I'm certain that it's in the works, I know TN...)
Do a special video on OH characters like Leifang Bayman etc. gotta get some Lei players in DOA 🥰
Please do one for Tekken 7, please...
phase
Hard knock life haha. Raidou though...
