Awesome work Mike. You need to open your own shop buddy.

Working on it! Hopefully one day soon. Start up money is hard to come by sometimes. Thanks for watching.

very well explained. Now tell me, you don't create banners in indesign? I use illustrator, and the file becomes heavy. For example if I want to make a 30ft by 10ft large banner, should I make it in illustrator orm use indesign by adding all assets separately from illustrator to indesign.

You can certainly use illustrator to do the design work and then bring it into InDesign to apply the layout, grommet marks, etc. If the file is all vectors then it shouldn’t bog down the computer too much. However if it contains images, you make sure those images are not full 300dpi files. For a 30x10 banner probably 125-150 dpi is more than enough. That should help keep the file size down.

@@miketheprintman I currenly have been using illustrator for all big banners. Hence wanted to know if separate elements I can make in illustrator and then combine all in indesign and design the banner in indesign itself, all objects and effects added to illustrator, and imported to indesign as separate objects assets. how would that work out...?

@@rohanthe123456 For me I always use InDesign for my file assembly. Illustrator is fine for creating the graphics you're going to use, but I like using InDesign for the text and to assemble the file together before sending to press. I would recommend doing it that way. It may save you some time in processing the file.
