Tips and tricks for switch axe: hack slash slash, boom, boom, baam.
Also another note: If you cheaped out and bought MHW standalone without iceborne, you're missing out on some moves. The heavy slam is one helluva combo worker (or closer) to add heavy damage but is only specific to Iceborne. It is STUPID.

Everyone hates clutch claw, of you play swax, you will love cluth claw.
Or hammer too, like, I like to finish a Big Bang, and then cluctch claw the Monster and do a spinner to his face
I like drilling hole into fatalis head with ZSD.
I never understood the hate for clutch claw. I play it, lance, swaxe, bow, and db and thought the claw mechanics were fine. Why all the hate?
@@MOONWOLF7395 it was tedious (ie.tenderizing to actually do damage, you constantly fall off,) , and a lot of weapons barely get any benefits from it. It also made Weakness exploit and Agitator into most bonker skills in game. Also it has very questionable hitbox. Overall I think that it was not as bad as people said it is but I still think there are still a better way to implement it into Iceborne.
@@MOONWOLF7395 the concept is not bad imo, it's just the implementation which is bad.
Weakening is actually really good especially on monster with super hard skin that forces weapons to bounce and having to deal more damage is good too.
The problem is aiming and clawing into the monster. For the weapons you mentioned it's fine since it's weaved into their combo.
But for the rest of the weapons you have to stop attacking and aim, and hope that the claw's hitbox hit the part you want. This makes it clunky and/jarring for most people.
If they made clutch claw combos available to all weapons I wouldn't think it would be a problem.
I use longsword, cb and gun lance.
Most especially clunky for me is, gunlance since that weapon needs a slinger ammo. While you can get one from the ground, the good.ones you get from the monsters
