Hi, guys thank you for watching today's video! Appreciate your time to check us out. If you haven't already please consider subscribing and giving the video a thumbs up! Do you like Overseerr? Prefer a different request management app? Let us know in the comments! P.S - the feature I wish it had is LDAP backend.
Just to add to this guys the developer has posted some clarification around some steps, I apologise for the mess up. You don't need to map media folders!
Thank you so much. A friend of mine setup my machine 2 years ago with Overseer and Jackett and thanks to your videos, I am going to give this and prowlarr a go this weekend!
Great video! How would you go about adding movies/series from your phone when you are not home? Ideally I'd like an app of overseerr but that doesn't seem available. Otherwise use the reverse proxy and access it via browser on your phone?
So is there a way to get this to to appear, for the end user/requester, on standard plex apps homescreen, channel, anywhere they can access with leaving there plex app. If not the people who request stuff from me wouldn't use it. It a shame.
I think this sounds cool. That the folder move from downloads to media is instant. But I have two cache ssds coming and were thinking of using one for appdata and the other for the downloads share. One can still be used for the appdata share, but I am left thinking. Should I still use the other as cache for the data share?
Great video! Installed it but am getting "Newly added movie request failed to add to Radarr, marking as unknown" immediately when I add a video. All of the Radarr and Sonarr service test out fine. Nothing in the radarr logs so I assume it is not communicating with radarr.
Yeah it does! Just keep in mind the Plex related features won't work, but as long as it connects to Sonarr and Radarr it can still send requests to them
So if I want to have it to where anyone can add/request movies through a url (non local) that's where I'd have to setup the reverse proxy stuff? I went to your url and it was still asking for a Plex account. Could a non Plex user make an account without being part of Plex? I have two family members whom share my Plex account for remote access. Does this get around that giving them their own account while still having access to my library? I want to share my library with more people but refuse to give them my Plex Pass account info if that makes sense.
You can create local users in Overseerr so that they don't log in with Plex. The sign in with Plex option is for them to use their own Plex account which your have invited to your server, not use your account.
They will access it over the web, you can add a shortcut to your Home Screen though where it will look and act like an app but will just be accessing it via the web
You, as the server owner, are providing this to others to request media from you so you can do as little work as possible to fulfill those requests. This makes it so your users can request content and the server can automatically fetch that content with no action from you. It's all automated.

@@IBRACORP this is a reminder don't forget for you to request all the Crocodile Dundee movies. The Russel Crow film, Romper Stomper is also a must.
Of course Sarah, what kind of server would it be without them??
Really great job, I particularly like how you add the chapter breakdowns, its the little things that matter.
Thanks Sandeep! Yeah I'm a firm believer in making things easy
Quality stuff! 2 years later still very relevant! Thank you
Thank you!

Love this channel and great work! The only thing I think I missed is, after I setup a user, how does that user access/make requests?
Watching the premiere live so to say. Keep up the content
just added, great video and keep them coming. I've nearly added all your content to my unraid server. excellent quality
Thank you mate! Very nice to hear my work is being used glad to help

Overseer is definitely available , there's also Ombi
Thanks for this. I'm always trying to discover new content and this will help a lot. Especially when I make my first friends.
You're very welcome Max. You have some friends here at IBRACORP 🙂✌️
What was the point of mounting the media directory? I don't think I saw it being used, unless I missed it. Thank you for your great content btw.

Anyone ever figure this out?
Thanks IBRACORP! Love your tutorials
I see Drag Race Down Under! Hello fellow fan haha
Hello, thank you for all of your vidéos. I have a question Why mapped the média folder ? You do not use in overseerr. Thank you very much
This was my mistake, you do not need to map it at all! I'm blaming not enough coffee
Super video! Keep em coming!
Thank you!
Why do you use the default container branch of Nightly - every commit to the developers branch?
Question: Is there a way to be able to use Overseerer via Plex? Or you would have to reverse proxy Overseerer on its own?
Which one of your videos show how to setup with Gmail notifications?
Freaking awesome as always thank you for this.
Do you need unraid for this? Ubuntu i cant even get a visual program like yours shows

Glad to hear it!

Follow-up.....added the base url field to the overseer radarr config (/radarr) and it now works. This app is is very slick!
Glad you got it sorted mate! And yes it is very slick isn't it!
it would be interesting to have this as a wrapper for sonarr and radarr but I don't use plex. Does it work without it?
Yeah it does! Just keep in mind the Plex related features won't work, but as long as it connects to Sonarr and Radarr it can still send requests to them
why did we set the /media path ?
you don't have to- overseer will grab that info from sonarr. he corrects himself in a reply to another comment.
Can someone please provide the link to the video mentioned @6:00 ? Thanks!
btw i am using jellyfin + radarr + sonarr + requstrr as it is all free and all platform support
is there any improvements I can do?
jellyseerr
@@Walsrog thanks for replying to my dead comment

hmm my plex server list is greyed out and unable to add. i wonder why.
are you signed in to the correct Plex account?
@@IBRACORP ya. I can see my plex IP as well but its greyed out.Do I need to change any setting in Plex?
@@ChenHi-EMD Make sure that your network is configured correctly and that your firewall is not getting in the way
@@thezak48 i'm not sure how to check this. but ill try to find out later. thanks for your help
hello, I have the same problem
How do my users use this on mobile phones?
You can reverse proxy it and give them the link. Once they open it, Overseerr will prompt them to add it as an 'app' on their homescreen.
Overserr or jellyserr
Bro please help me how can i port forward in overseerr how someone can request
Honestly looks like an Ombi clone
I don’t get it. Who are you requesting those movies? Is the admin supposed to download those requested movies?
I just don’t see the use case

@@justmaybe5643I'm gonna set it up so when I think of things when I'm out and about, I can request it 😂
@@justmaybe5643 Is it provided in plex somewhere? My users will never bother with a webpage or separate app.
Literally Impossible to understand why part of this.
Can anyone add me as a user to their account? This service is amazing and I just lost access due to a falling out with a friend
So no Emby Support:
