This game reminds me of my Popi. He had alzheimers disease and he would barely remember me. One day I went to go see him and I was having a good conversation with him and we were talking about my dads childhood. Popi looked at me and he said "I may not remember you here," he said while pointing to his head "but I will always remember you here" he said again pointing to this heart. That was the last thing he ever said to me, Popi. If only you knew how much I miss you and how much those words mean to me
You made me cry oml
😭 How dare you put water in my eyes! 😭
That's a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing that.
When I die, I'll hunt down your popi in the afterlife.
I'll give him a hug for ya.
That's such a pretty story
Gabi Vlogs my heart just ached bad reading that, yet it’s so sweet
I couldn't agree more. I honestly wish I had. I'm 30 years old and have been disabled for 8 years. I've been ON disability, receiving benefits for 5 and a half years.
A couple months ago I got a chair for the shower, and a smiliar... "Bathroom aide" sadly, my health has deteriorated to the point that I need constant help and supervision. I can no longer live on my own... My mother was hired by ResCare Home Care, to be my in home caretaker. I struggle to do anything.. And I'm only 30....
No kids, no relationship...
God bless any other disabled samurai or elderly whom suffer in similar ways.. I would've done things differently had I known I wouldn't have the time I thought I did...

My gramma had Alzheimer’s and ended up getting moved to a nursing home and I cannot IMAGINE how terrified she was, especially if the nurses said she was combative. I was one of the few people she remembered. But like she didn’t remember me as a grand daughter….I was like… a long life friend or something. I miss her so much.
May she rest in peace I could imagine you were very important to her

This definitely has to be one of Cory's most saddest videos on his channel. No screaming, no jumpscares, no exciting high paced adventure, no fighting, just...life. I feel so bad for anyone who has to deal with conditions like that. ❣️

It reminded me of when my great grandmother was dying, she slowly forgot about us, all her family, and when the time came for her to pass away... i stood beside her, tears all over my face, and i will never forget that she actually knew i was me beside her... that made me bawl, and i hold her hand until she finally said "los amo" (i love you all) and... i had to watch her die... ill never forget that moment

Cory’s whole speech about how we take so much for granted and that we need to be thankful for our health almost made me cry. This man is a legend.
My grandma has Alzheimer’s. Because of quarantine, her conditions worsened as it went unchecked before. She absolutely adored me and since we live across the sea, she’d always ask when the family’s coming back to see her. Present day she barely remembers anyone. I’m watching this now in 2024 and I’m finally able to understand what my Nana is going through. This play through genuinely brought me to tears as I was one of the family members who watched my Nana go through the early stages of dementia. I was too young to understand what was happening and why Nana couldn’t remember my name, that was up until she had to be put in a nursing home, now she doesn’t recognise anyone, even my mom who is her daughter. It genuinely breaks my heart every time we visit her and see how confused she is. I hope anyone else who feels this way can relate, your not alone. 💜

My grandmother has Alzheimer's She almost never realizes who I am even though she practically raised me. Of course it hurts when she doesn't or when she complains of her life. She usually says "You're a brat. Can't do anything right." She even tried to hurt herself, thinking she was ugly. However, I know that when she dies, she won't be in pain. I hope you realize, that even though your mother might not remember you, you still have those beautiful memories of before this period of time. She won't always be there for you, but she's your mother. She would want you to be happy. I might not know her, but thats just how maternal instincts are. i was holding back tears the whole time and lost it when cory said "hey...who's next...the family's gathering around...it must be uh, must be that time,,,i love you all, thank you for giving me a good life."
my ability to create vivid memories and maintain them was sort of stunted at some point in my childhood largely in reaction to traumatic/abusive experiences (realized through discussion with family and later on therapists/psychiatrists), and this is my greatest fear. because if my memory is this unreliable at 24 years old, i wonder is this what it's going to be like when i'm older
i have set up many coping mechanisms to aid my forgetfulness i.e. phone calendars, planners, notification reminders, medication, etc. and i have many loved ones in my life who know i'm forgetful and usually give me a boost or reminder when i need it. but even then, i just worry that this "game" is a possibility for me in the future.
i'm so grateful for cory and this community, and his awareness throughout the video was very touching. it has been a great reminder to see each day as a chance to live life to the fullest and to remind those around me that i love them. i hope that as i grow older, i hope these intentional steps i'm taking now to keep myself in check mentally and physically will prove worth it so that i may live a long, fulfilling, and memorable life for myself and those around me. love yall.

Edit: I am glad cory opened up this space for everyone to speak 😏
Trinity Boo I feel you bro
I feel so sad just reading that god bless u
Trinity Boo , my great grandma has Alzheimer’s.. :(
Trinity Boo I m sorry for your neighbor but can you explain Alzheimer’s because I m don’t it
@@gogetathestrongestfusionit is when you are old. And you forget a lot of things and you just can't remember what happened in you're life. that is what it is for me 😊 I hope I could of help'ed you😊
Love you 💗😜
This was such a depressing video. I freaking cried bro. One of my fears is getting old so this whole video just... made me really sad. Then like Cory's reaction to the whole game is just heartbreaking. I'm sorry to anyone who has or knows anyone alzheimers. Much love to everyone

me looking at cory while eating my hot cheetos and caprisun
this made me cry...my grandma has really bad memory and sometimes it can be very frustrating for me..i help her out as best as possible and give her all the love i can give to her..but this game made me see the world the way she sees it, it made me so emotional because now i see how much harder it must be for her than i imagined..thank you
Ana Mejia no offense but a bad memory is very different from Alzheimer’s
Lovely Layla yeah
You’ll be sad when it’s your first time meeting her every time you visit for her last 13 yrs😓 my great grandmother’s last words to me was “who’s grand babies are these, what’s your name young ma’am? Mine is...*blank stares at me with a smile*” that’s Alzheimer’s
Bless you
das sad i hope ur grandma is ok gotta soport da sistas u know wut im sayIN
1:58 Well damn I was waiting for Momo's intro song
Yeah me too
Same😒
Zainab Ziauddin I was to
Zainab Ziauddin me too
Me too, but watching Cory cradle her in his arms made up for it😂
Why did this make me cry like the music and everything and when Cory was talking at first like im scared of that its my biggest fear bc I don't want to forget my memories and man so yk😭😭😭😭
I love how in the beginning he talks about how some people forget precious memories and I forget stuff like that all the time but I sometimes do it with people too
I myself don't have Alzheimer's, but my grandma did.. from my point of view, this is probably very accurate. It started slow with my grandma doing silly things like hiding our shoes in a tree, but it started getting noticeable by the time I was 12. She was a women's rights activist waaaayyyy back, she ran for governor of her town, she was a good journalist, she was a loyal and great wife for my grandma when he served in WW2, and she was always the liberal other half to my grandpa's strong conservative political stances. But my grandparents were so great together, man. We went on family vacations every year with them. And even when my grandma started forgetting her grandkids' names... Then her kids' names... Then her husband's name... Then her own name... My grandpa was always the best spouse he could be for her, and he made sure she had a good life even after she couldn't speak English and couldn't control her bodily waste functions.
Alzheimer's is a terrifying disease because it just tears away your past from you, then your present, then your future. But I'm glad my grandma had a hell of a good spouse to go through it.
ixxi_ london that is so true
I'm sorry to hear that. That sucks
@@chrome_yeet1235 not the time.
I swear the kind of love you give to MoMo she could end up living forever
ツンデレSymora u get so much likes on ur comments every vid am I the only one that noticed that
Or she can grow into momo the big green plant
Watch how many people will start crying because of momo when the plant dies but it would be sad.
Where is her Intro🤔🤔
If Momo is a succulent, she very well may live forever. Lol
It’s crazy how the collage project wasn’t on the table when she first got up. This game is still sad after all these years, all those memories fading away.
16:53 when Cory says “Must be that time” Me: “-that my family tells me that I’m adopted
Bro Cory dropping straight QUOTES in the beginning of this video 😂 “Memories are our proof of life.”
Side note, this video legit made me sad, just thinking about this possibly happening to me or my family made me tear up a bit.
This is one of my worst fears and I'm always scared about just the thought of something like this happening to me or any of my family members. It would break my heart into pieces if I was the only one keeping the memories. It makes me feel like they'd be a shell of the person they were before.
Sadly it’s a reality for me... my grandpa has Alzheimer’s and he can barely put a sentence together
@@joshsearle6016 damn man, I'm really sorry to hear that, that sucks : L
@@slowyourroll1146 it's a terrifying thought
@@joshsearle6016 I'm sorry to hear this. I wish I could offer you a thousand hugs
That was so sad but so meaningful. This is a great way to explain it to people.
this game made me cry. This shows the real and beautiful side of life but also sad....
Cory: take a moment to be thankful for your health

When he said, “I love you all. Thank you for giving me a good life.” broke my heart. 😭💔
Edit: Even though it’s just a video game, it represents life, and it made me feel like he knew someone very close to him who said something like that, who passed away.
Me too😔
I cried when he said that
is like he dose not like us you
know
Corey hit my heart and although I am a 🥊 I some times 😭 I love you all
You're not alone. I cried too. Here's a wolf high five! 🐾 Maybe you'll feel better!
My mom has dementia. Its heartbreaking. It started off gradual, but now it's at its worst. She tries so hard to remember things. Seeing her struggle is the worst, and remembering her when she was younger is even harder.
ay fr you are one of the best youtubers i have ever seen in my entire life you make me feel so good when im down and i fr feel like i can become a man just like you are.
