Mesmerising performance that gives you the chills...A rock symphony that pulls you in from beginning to end...!! What a provocative journey Robert Smith takes us on in this story about the streets of Tokyo...
Epic performance! If there was ever a song that really conveys what it feels like to fall....this would be it! So powerful and chilling every hair on my body stands on edge!!! Love The Cure!
Been a fan since I was 11 (I'm 47 now) & seen them live several times...its phenomenal how Robert Smith can still sound this way after all these years and of course the music 🎶❤
Brilliant!! On every level. A symphony. The story! And it goes on and on and on.....reaching heights and depths....we fall like the guy in the mirror on the wall....whew.
For more than 20 years I've listened to this song, at the end of it I've always thought "It's a masterpiece! Can't get another conclussion!" . Bassline is gorgeous and this is one of the finest Perry Bamonte guitar work ever. The Cure has tried to play it live with master Reeves but no guitarist plays this song the amazing way Perry does
Absolutely superb ,the drumming is brilliant throughout along with the Bass and then Rogers fantastic tasty ,dark and expanding making it enormous and Perry took it away into a fabulous solo ...twice ,to excite it even more ,and all that keeps the character of the lyrics.......it has everything and thats one of many others !
Just heard this song on my dad's car. Really really liked it, search in cellphone youtube, only found this live version. Never saw The Cure Live but thought it may be shitty just like all the other bands. I couldn't be more wrong, fucking awesome mate this is better than the studio and the performance is 100/10. Wish I'd been there, I saw Ozzy, Judas and Motorhead live and they were all old geezers, most trashy show I've been. This, is really something else.
I love this album. Long beautiful songs that put me in a trance. It's a more mature cure sound. I would love it if they made another album like it ,well MAYBE SOMEDAY!!!
@@BLLLYMUSIC The scathing reviews of BF are inexplicable, but I think people just "jump someone else's train" and go along with the masses rather than think critically for themselves.
@ClockwiseCat maybe those people who wrote the scathing reviews should be thrown into a "Snake Pit". I'd "Open" the door for them, but nah, I'll let them "Burn". 🤣🤣 Of course I'm kidding, but I've been a fan since I was 12 and I'm 48 now..... love this band always and forever!!
Love the bassline and electric guitar. Drums and Robert's screamings are also brilliant. Roger's keyboard and Robert's guitar in the background fits perfectly. I was happy to see they played live it again a few years ago and that's great but frankly although Reeves' master musicianship it looks like Perry Bamonte provided a special superb touch to this song
Another Great and Intense song from The Cure 💜 Bloodflowers , after Wild Mood Swings, Another underrated album ... Why ? Because different and so original ? 🧐 The " specialists " of nothing will argue there is Desintegration and that's All and The crows will answer there is The dark trilogy and that's all 🤭 So that's all folks, let's Enjoy all Cure's album , in each, there is at Least One Master Piece 😻🥂🎸🎶 The Love Cats Said 😻🙏🌞
This has replaced End as my favorite Cure journey into darkness. It is perhaps their most definitive song of that ilk, and is a veritable masterpiece. That said, it doesn't hold a candle to the finest moments from prog-rock, which are far superior, musically and technically. It's all about knowing what to expect. The Cure were an acquired taste for this classically trained musician, but there is no questioning the fact that the can scratch a particularly unique itch. This is music for a cold, dreary and rainy afternoon, with a warm dram and a smoke.
my fav era for cure, rs exploding back from the edge of the late green 90s sea. such a strong lineup. those shows were so much larger than film can capture, mind blowing intense every song. the fire WAS almost out. *edit '23 hahaha thanks for all the time guys. NOBODY gives it deeper than robert & co, even now.
I think it partially had something to do with Robert firing Perry's brother who was managing the band. As much as I miss Perry, it was time for a change. Perry had been with the band for a long time, since like...1984 when he was Robert's guitar tech and roadie. The band seems to be in a good comfortable place with Reeves Gabrels over the last decade. Reeves just turned 65 last month, so I don't know how much longer he's willing to play concerts.
Absolutely sussed this brilliantly, beautiful band in a song........that is beautifully sleezey, yet pristine............ Yeh, l did go over the top......,real though......possibly, too true.........
even rush doesn't(idnt:( go as long in 1 set format, ive watched the cure get the house sound shut down 3 times... and they fn KEEP PLAYING!!! they just give it sooo much, i hope he never stops. . . ❤
Unbeleivable! what a live version, I really lost my self into this live trilogy concert with my headphones pushing in my ears and disconnecting I really never connect with Bloodflowers album, I really didn't like it! even The Cure from 2004 album I connect it more than with Bloodflowers the first time I hear it, but when the trilogy dvd came out I started to enjoy Bloodflowers in live I really enjoy it.!
funny how we hear great music and it fails to connect to us with where we are in life, but then months years even decades later its the most amazing thing we ever heard ❤
This is one of my favorite Cure songs. Bloodflowers was such an underrated Cure album.
honestly, it gets overlooked or written off. i love it to bits.
Robert Smith has good taste
(Bloodflowers is Robert smith’s favorite cure album)
One of the best
I'll 2nd that....👌👌👍
Hard to beat the Cure's music. Probably the greatest of all time.
I must say that The Cure is my favorite band of all bands
Agree with you
DAMMN!! What a performance!!! Bamonte proved everyone he is a true Cure-band member!! What an elegant way to play his guitar!!!
One of the coolest basslines ever written!
With The Epiphone Jack Casady Signature bass I have and also play it with !
Yes!!!
How can they be so good? This is impossible.
The Cure is super good since the begin.
Even playing two whole albums before.. They can still doing epic and perfect performance
Masterclass PERRY BAMONTE!!!! AMAZING AND PERFECT GUITAR!!!
Mesmerising performance that gives you the chills...A rock symphony that pulls you in from beginning to end...!! What a provocative journey Robert Smith takes us on in this story about the streets of Tokyo...
You are a Silly Goose Debby depp.
OK... this is probably the best live song ever! WOW 😍
Played by best live band ever
awesome
Epic performance! If there was ever a song that really conveys what it feels like to fall....this would be it! So powerful and chilling every hair on my body stands on edge!!! Love The Cure!
Anyone has already posted that it´s the most underrated song of The Cure? Why hasn´t it played live again?
I was at the concert in Oslo two years ago and I was really dissapointed they haven't played any of the songs from Bloodflowers...
Agreed!! Phenomenal song and performance. First time I've ever heard this. Brilliant.
I mean, if they played all there great songs we'd be there all night.
@@cswalker21 gladly be there all night tho :) lol
They played it a few times in the 2016 tour
The best song of the cure
This song is a masterpiece of the cure's music, this performance is really epic, touch my soul!
A masterpiece of creativity and competence!
Been a fan since I was 11 (I'm 47 now) & seen them live several times...its phenomenal how Robert Smith can still sound this way after all these years and of course the music 🎶❤
The cure and NIN are the best bands I’ve ever seen live
The CURE and Robert Smith and their haunting sound ! At the top of their art in those times ! Love it !
One of the best performance I've ever seen. Mesmerizing
Brilliant!! On every level. A symphony. The story! And it goes on and on and on.....reaching heights and depths....we fall like the guy in the mirror on the wall....whew.

Awesome song and the execution its even better!!!

hell yeah, me too
I have been at Cure' live gig in Moscow. It was magnificent really)))
I avoided seeing them live for 30 years of being fan, worrying that it would be a let down. Seen them twice now, both absolutely fantastic shows!
Check out everything that has to do With The Cure "Disintegration". Best album of all times, With Kent "Vapen and ammunition" on a good second...
@@Grargaryen1 totally agree and I know Kent and love him...Munich Germany:-)))
Love his vocals, so sexy
I have been a fan of the cure since 1981
Me too,greetings from Austria 👍🎶
Enthrolling. Phenomenal. Dark fire.

I love this album. Long beautiful songs that put me in a trance. It's a more mature cure sound. I would love it if they made another album like it ,well MAYBE SOMEDAY!!!
i also adore bloodflowers, and it pains me to read the scathing reviews for it.

It's Cure-prog, which is its own entity, really.
Cannot believe it was 15 years ago...

Espectacular voz de Robert y maravilloso Perry Bamonte
I wonder why Smith discarded Perry Bamonte after this album and tour?
Perry said that they reached the point of non talk to each other
