My maiden ancestral family is from the Black Forest region. I live in Southern Appalachia (U.S.) and I'm amazed how similar the landscape is to that of SW Germany.

The birdsong is real from the Black Forest, but taken in spring. In summer, when the forests are so beautifully green like in the video, they don't sing as intensely anymore.
Definitely very dark and adventurous. Today everything is cultivated forestry. But in the northern Black Forest the forest will now be left natural again 🌲
A beautifully managed forest The USA needs to invest in forest maintence on the west coast I live in the PNW in oregon , more workers less clearcutting would = better management
There have been national parks in the Black Forest of Germany for a number of years. The forest is no longer managed and nature is left to itself. But that is also controversial.
The lake is the Kleine Kinzig Dam and is located between Alpirsbach and Freudenstadt in the Black Forest 🌲 We didn't stop at the walking recording. But thank you for your idea, maybe we'll make a video from the lake this year 😃

@@RobertandSabineThe sound of the birds is a seperate recording right? No way thats live in footage. In the case of using it for lesson, just put on the video. Or download one of maaaaany stock birds chirping sounds that are like this.
@@belleboca5997 We would recommend that you look in a hiking guide and look for tours in Freudenstadt or in neighboring Baiersbronn (e.g. the tour to the lake Sankenbachsee is very nice - start at the Baiersbronn car park at the game reserve).
