very helpful information for a newbie- thankfully I can pause ,stop & playback, & try to fix my mess by watching your steps on a split screen.. my first one was a mess & 11700 & some stitches for a simple car outline & font- hoping the 2nd run turns out better. Looking forward to learning more ! Thanks
Thanks again, I do have a question. sorry if you answered it somewhere, but I created a word as an image because I do not know how to create a satin stitch yet,(it is in the 4x6 hoop you taught, so it is large) and I have the fill color blue and the stroke black, looks great to outline the word, however is there a way to get the fill to fill all at once and the stroke last? Stroke doesn't show up in layers so I would have to change threads to blue, then black, as many times as I have letters in my image. Thanks if you have the time. I have learned so much from you!! I have been watching now to learn to do satin stitches.
Duplicate the object. Set the bottom one to fill no stroke, set the top one to no fill, stroke at least 1.5 mm. Then on that same top object (make sure it's selected) do extensions > inkstitch > tools: satin > convert line to satin. Now your fill and outline objects are separate, and the outline is satin.
Thanks so much for all the videos on inkstitch! It has improved my digitizing so much!!!
Outstanding. Love it. Thank you. 😊
Been watching your videos for almost a year. And here is a real world example from a church that is less than 2 miles from my house.
That's pretty cool
Learned a lot here!
