Hi! Sorry but I need help again as I am coming to the London so you know there is a bus route the 389 and the 399 they share a split route. So if I am going to Barnet western way and I am waiting at Hadley wood station. And the 399 comes do I get on it untill the last stop, which is Barnet the spies and once it reaches Barnet the spies do I still stay on the bus and will the bus change to 389 automatically? Or once you reach the spies you have to change busses to reach western way. Thanks so much
The 389 and 399 are two of London’s least-used bus routes, operating in the Barnet area with limited service hours. Route 399 runs between Hadley Wood Station and Barnet The Spires, while Route 389 operates between Barnet The Spires and Western Way. These routes do not automatically change numbers; therefore, if you board the 399 at Hadley Wood Station, it will terminate at Barnet The Spires. To continue to Western Way, you will need to disembark and transfer to the 389 bus. Please note that both routes operate only during limited hours, typically from late morning to mid-afternoon, with infrequent service. It’s advisable to check the latest timetables on the Transport for London (TfL) website to plan your journey accordingly.
Wait I am just a little confused becuase I thought it just changes routes and you stay on the bus at The spires and it changes to the 389 so once you reach the spires on the 399 you leave the bus and will the 389 be waiting already at the bus stand? Of the spires. Sorry it is just so confusing the 389 and 399
The 389 and 399 are two of London’s shortest bus routes, both operating in the Barnet area. Route 389 runs between Barnet, The Spires and Western Way, while route 399 operates as a circular service via Hadley Wood railway station. If you’re at Hadley Wood Station and board the 399 bus, it will take you to Barnet, The Spires. However, the 399 does not automatically change to the 389 at The Spires. To continue to Western Way, you’ll need to disembark from the 399 at The Spires and wait for the 389 bus, which will take you to Western Way. The 389 operates approximately every 60 minutes during daytime hours. Please note that both routes have limited operating hours, typically running during daytime shopping hours. It’s advisable to check the latest timetables on the Transport for London (TfL) website or use the TfL journey planner to ensure a smooth ride.
